Freedom Watch Friday - Phyllis Musumeci never asked to become an expert on Restraint and Seclusion, an all too common practice in the public schools. Phyllis, like most parents learned of this horrendous form of ‘discipline’ only after her child had been abused several months. This sometimes fatal form of torture is often done without parental notification, let alone approval. School districts don’t usually reveal seclusion rooms, which resemble the isolation block in your nearest penitentiary. Thus most parents never dream such abuse might be taking place in their local school district, but it does – including central Iowa where an 8 year old girl was held hostage under a stairwell for three hours.
