Robert Knight believes the violence and looting taking place in cities across America is planned. It’s about fomenting violence and a state of constant anarchy. This will somehow help get rid of the president. All of this will be his fault and the media will blame him. They have, but Robert doesn’t believe that message is ‘sticking’ to the president; that the person ‘in the street’ doesn’t blame President Trump and they see the violence in Democrat-run cities/states as being committed by hard-left agitators.
Americans have been seeing violence, looting and destruction. We’re seeing the heritage of our nation under attack with statues being toppled and the renaming of schools, streets and parks. This is all taking place because of the political incorrectness of our day. Today, even the accurate rendering of America’s history is deemed offensive and we’re told it must be changed.
All of these acts are not accidental. They’re part of a plan to permanently destroy and alter the course of America and as this program will show, there’s much more to come. It’s called The Color Revolution.
We’re six weeks away from election day and the political tension has increased due to the unexpected vacancy on the Supreme Court due to the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
The heightened tension shows as statements have come out desiring to do whatever it takes to stop President Trump, including new impeachment proceedings against him.
Earlier today it was announced that the votes are there to pass the president’s nominee. He will reveal his choice this Saturday.
Joining Jim to cover this issue was Mat Staver. Mat is a constitutional attorney, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel. Mat has argued before all levels of court including landmark cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. He’s an author as well as the speaker on the radio programs, Faith and Freedom and Freedom’s Call.
Early discussion dealt with Mat’s appearance yesterday before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals (via Zoom) concerning Harvest Rock Church and Harvest International Ministry in California. For 80% of the state, California bans all worship including home Bible studies and fellowship.
Although the Supreme Court vacancy is occurring at this late stage of his term, President Trump is calling upon the Senate to fill it. Ginsburg, Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi, Senator Elizabeth Warren and Senator Tim Kaine have made past statements that would seem to support this idea. President Obama did his job by nominating Merrick Garland while the Senate did their job by refusing to advance him. Why are Democrats opposed to this process now that President Trump is in the White House?
This is the basis for this program that also looks at ‘advise and consent’ within the constitution, if judiciary hearings will be necessary, how the Democrats might react to President Trump filling the vacancy, comments from listeners and much more.
This ‘Round-Up’ broadcast began with Greg Clugston of SRN News interviewing Vice President Mike Pence about the sanctity of life, religious liberty, the coronavirus and the key to winning his upcoming debate.
Here’s a sample of other news stories that Jim covered:
–President Trump signed the Abraham Accords this week, obtaining a peace agreement between Israel, Bahrain and the UAE. Former Secretary of State John Kerry adamantly stated in 2016 this type of thing could not happen; that the Palestinians would have to be involved.
–A top virologist and whistle-blower alleges the Chinese government intentionally manufactured and released the COVID-19 virus that led to mass shutdowns and deaths across the world.
History was made yesterday as leaders from Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain met with President Trump and signed the Abraham Accords. These are said to normalize diplomatic relations between these 3 nations.
Before this summer, only two such peace deals involving Israel had been negotiated in the past 7 decades, with the most recent being in the 1990’s.
With more analysis on these accords, Crosstalk welcomed Dr. Jimmy DeYoung. Dr. DeYoung is a student of Bible prophecy and expert on the Middle East. He leads a ministry, Prophecy Today and has spent many years living in Israel as well as having led many trips there. He’s a noted conference speaker. He constantly monitors news regarding Israel and the Middle East and provides a unique blend of political, biblical and prophetic insight that is absent from the media today.
Dr. DeYoung noted that calling this the ‘Abraham Accords’ is really a misnomer because although most prophecy teachers teach that Abraham fathered the entire Arab world, he actually fathered the Jewish world through Isaac and Jacob.
He believes there will be great opportunities and economic ties between these nations, possibly even military ties. Also, Kosovo and Serbia have also announced they are going to develop relationships with Israel and they would put their embassies in Jerusalem.
On this broadcast you’ll learn if Israel is sacrificing any land, other Arab and Islamic nations that may join the accords, where this is taking us prophetically and much more.
The theme verse for this edition of Crosstalk was 2 Chronicles 7:14, a verse Jim believes has application for us today:
‘If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.’
With that basis set, Jim introduced Jack Countryman. Jack is the founder of JCountryman gift books, a division of Thomas Nelson. He’s the author of several books including God’s Promises for Men, God’s Promises for Women, Red Letter Words of Jesus among many others. He appeared on Crosstalk to discuss his timely and updated release of the book If My People.
Jack noted that as he looks at the pandemic, rioting and economic crisis, etc., he’s burdened to think that God has the answer and that if we’ll put ourselves on hold and let God speak to us, He is the one that can make the difference.
Believing there’s power in prayer and that it can direct a nation, he’s encouraging readers to turn to that option. Calling it an essential option in our lives, he went on to explain that throughout the history of America, prayer has always brought the presence of God.
So when we humbly seek His face in prayer, God moves on our behalf, accomplishing His desires for us. This means that when we pray for our leaders, we impact the direction that the nation will take.
Jack went on to comment on the great awakenings from the book and how in the 1800’s, prayer was essential. Back then, people let God run their lives unlike today where people are concerned about themselves and not about what God wants to do.
Why are we so reluctant to call upon God? Was it the intention of the founders to not allow America’s political leaders to reference God? Do we have examples of prayer from past presidents? Does Jack believe there could be another great awakening? Get the answers to these and other great questions when you review this edition of Crosstalk.
Some Crosstalk listeners may be familiar with an old phrase that goes like this: ‘What in the World?’ It’s a phrase that someone might say after seeing or hearing something that’s surprising, angering or disgusting.
Jim named this program after that phrase because of some recent news examples that simply defy common sense or perhaps better described as common moral sense.
Many of us today will never forget September 11, 2001. Islamic terrorists commandeered passenger jetliners (American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175) crashing them with menacing terror and purpose into the twin towers, the World Trade Center in New York. Yet another plane, American Airlines Flight 77 was flown into the Pentagon and another plane, United Airlines Flight 93 (which at the time we did not know with certainty where it was headed) we learned held courageous passengers who used the words “Let’s roll” and overcame the Islamic hijackers aboard; taking the airliner down in a Pennsylvania field. A total of 2,977 people were killed in New York City, Washington, DC and outside of Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The loss however, impacted millions.
The ‘Round-Up’ came one day early this week but that did not mean a shortage of stories. Here’s a sample of what Jim presented to listeners:
–President Trump announced that Serbia and Kosovo have normalized economic ties as part of a U.S.-brokered talk that include Belgrade moving its Israeli embassy to Jerusalem.
–President Trump publicly added some 20 names to his list of candidates for the Supreme Court.
–The Atlantic editor has conceded that the central claim of his Trump hit-piece could be wrong.
–Joe Biden’s former White House stenographer said that the former vice president’s public speaking ability has deteriorated significantly since leaving office to the point where he’s not the same Joe Biden.
–During a meeting with Kenosha, Wisconsin, community leaders, Joe Biden said that a black man rather than Thomas Edison invented the light bulb.
–Minnesota Republican nominee Jason Lewis said that even a state with as liberal a track record as Minnesota is shifting ground.
–Former Obama CIA Director John Brennan set up his own secret task force to investigate Donald Trump before the FBI began its Russian collusion probe according to investigative reporter Paul Sperry.
–Mark Meadows said additional documents spell real trouble for the top FBI officials from the Obama administration probe of Trump-Russian collusion.
–Adam Schiff says he has yet another ‘whistle-blower’ complaint, alleging that officials at the White House and the Department of Homeland Security suppressed intelligence reports of Russian election interference.
–Liberal billionaire George Soros funding a multi-million dollar effort to turn out women voters for Democrats in battleground states.
–The American Association of Physicians and Surgeons is contending that the FDA cares more about its power over drug stockpiles than the lives of Americans.
–Sandra Whittington was a resident of Shelby County, Tennessee, and their local health department reported that she tested positive for COVID-19 after taking the test June 20th. The problem is that she passed away during hospice care on February 16th after a battle with COPD. Her death certificate said she died from COPD but she received a letter dated August 20th that she died from coronavirus.
–A rash of false positive coronavirus tests has led the University of Arizona to issue an apology to student athletes who claimed to have COVID-19 but did not.
–A new study concerning the Sturgis motorcycle rally alleges that the event resulted in hundreds of thousands of COVID-19 cases. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has labeled the report as science fiction.
–Joe Biden admitted his own COVID-19 national mask mandate proposal is not constitutional.
Isaiah 5:20 says, ‘Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Think about that verse in relation to our current time; a time where deception is running rampant. Today what God has called abnormal is often declared to be normal. This deception is happening in our education system, the entertainment industry and sadly it’s also happening in the church.
