One of the results of materialism is an entitlement mentality, the believe that someone, somewhere, owes them something. This mentality is the deception of materialism. But there is also a “death by addiction” that also comes from materialism. Are you addicted to wealth, like the rich young ruler? Better to have treasures in Heaven than all the treasures this world provides.
