Why did Jesus die? He died because the people of Jesus’ day sentenced Him to die for a trumped up attempt to overthrow the Government. Today Dr. White explains the coming Kingdom of God in which Christ will literally overthrow the governments of the world and reign as King. Jesus claimed to be the Messiah, and that included an overthrow of the Government, and so the people charged Him with insurrection. This claim is what put Jesus on the cross.
