POPE PROTECTS VATICAN PREDATORS In a remarkable turn of events, Pope Francis has passed a new law in Rome that criminalizes the reporting of sex crimes in the Vatican. The law was initially introduced as a way of updating the Vatican's legal system, but once it was published it "revealed that the pope has made it illegal to report sex crimes against children." Officials in Rome claim that the law was an accident and that they "didn't mean for this to happen," but a newspaper (La Repubblica) critical of the papacy has said, "They know exactly what they're doing." Chris discusses the troubling implications of this law and the history of how child predators have been defended in modern times. But does the Bible provide warnings concerning these things? And what will God's judgment be on those who would do harm to children?
