The Sun reports that British citizens could face a military draft if the UK goes to war with Russia because the “military is too small,” an Army chief has warned.

General Sir Patrick Sanders, Chief of the General Staff, stressed the need for ministers to “mobilize the nation” in a speech Wednesday, amid the threat of World War III.

With the British Army being reduced to its smallest size for centuries, Gen. Sir Patrick believes there should be a shift in the mindset of the public who should be willing to defend the UK against foreign adversaries.

The Army chief would not support conscription, but believes the British people should change their mindset to “think more like troops” and be prepared for a call-up if NATO goes to war with Vladimir Putin.

It comes just days after a NATO chief warned Brits could face conscription as the threat of all-out war with Russia loomed.

Chief of NATO's military committee Dutch Admiral Rob Bauer called on the West to “prepare for an era of war,” adding that NATO “needs a warfighting transformation.”

During a summit between NATO defense chiefs in Brussels, Bauer said: “We need to be readier across the whole spectrum. You have to have a system in place to find more people if it comes to war, whether it does or not. Then you talk mobilization, reservists or conscription. We have to realize it’s not a given that we are in peace. And that’s why we [NATO forces] are preparing for a conflict with Russia.”

General Sanders made his plea to ordinary Britons at the International Armored Vehicles Conference in Twickenham.

The introduction of conscription, were it to happen, would be the first time in over 60 years that Brits would be required to fight.

A series of powerful sea waves struck a key U.S. military installation in the Marshall Islands Saturday night, damaging infrastructure and forcing dozens of people to evacuate the island.

A U.S. Army statement released Tuesday confirmed the incident:

“On the night of January 20, 2024, a series of weather-driven waves resulted in significant ocean water inundation of the island of Roi-Namur.”

The island is the second largest island in the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

Dramatic video footage from the event circulating on social media shows a large wave striking the Army’s dining hall, breaking down doors and knocking people down as water gushes into the building. 

Seconds later another wave, which appeared to be higher, strikes bringing with it more water. The lights then go off, in a scene that resembles one from a Hollywood movie.

In-N-Out, the famous burger chain, is closing its only location in Oakland, California, because of “ongoing issues with crime,” the company said Tuesday.

While several locations have been relocated, the company has never closed a location in its 75-year history.

“We feel the frequency and severity of the crimes being encountered by our customers and associates leave us no alternative,” Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick said in a statement Tuesday.

The location near Oakland International Airport, which has been open for almost two decades, will officially shutter on March 24.

“Despite taking repeated steps to create safer conditions, our customers and associates are regularly victimized by car break-ins, property damage, theft and armed robberies,” Warnick said.

The restaurant “remains a busy and profitable” location, but In-N-Out’s top priority is its employees and customers, Warnick said.

“We cannot ask them to visit or work in an unsafe environment,” Warnick said.

A host of businesses have closed in Oakland and cited crime as the reason, including a Raising Cane’s that closed its dining room in March, NBC Bay Area reported. Oakland police have increased patrols and cameras to help combat crime, according to the station.

All employees affected by the In-N-Out closing will be able to transfer to nearby In-N-Out locations or seek severance packages.

In a shocking example of the kind of crime going down in the city of Oakland, California, a group of thieves successfully dragged an entire Automated Teller Machine tied to the back of a van following an audacious bank robbery, KTVU reported.

The ATM was ripped from its foundations outside a Bank of America on Hegenberger Road, and the incident occurred in plain sight on Sunday morning.

The entire act was filmed by a shocked bystander who provided the footage to local news outlet KTVU. The video shows the thieves attaching the ATM to a van with a rope before speeding away, causing sparks to fly as the metal machine scraped against the road.

Witnesses estimate that three to four individuals were involved in this startling theft.

Oakland, like so many other cities across America, is becoming like a Third World country.

It’s also happening in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C.

The national pharmacy chain CVS announced this week that “we’ve made the difficult decision to close our store” in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington, D.C., WTTG-TV reported.

In a sense, the store is already out of commission thanks to the large-scale theft of consumer goods by mobs of teens who have plundered the shop repeatedly, leaving shelves bare.

Making matters worse, the theft appears to be organized.

WTTG reported that thieves “were aware of when shipments were coming and targeted the store at those times.”

Some employees said the thieves were being paid by street vendors to steal merchandise for resale, according to WTTG.

Retail sales may not have been booming in December but one item that continues to fly off the shelves is firearms.

Zero Hedge reports that Americans’ rush to get armed is being driven by fears over the continued lawlessness in Democrat-run cities, Joe Biden's southern border invasion, Democrats' crusade in attempting to ban firearms, criminal gangs targeting neighborhoods nationwide, and, of course, mounting geopolitical risks with threats of major conflict. 

According to data from the FBI's National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), unadjusted criminal background checks rose 2.9% to 2.73 million in December, the highest in about eight months. However, compared with a year ago, gun buying has slumped 10% from 3.04 million. 

Seasonal NICS data shows gun buying remains well above a two-decade average; an indication gun buying remains elevated in a dangerous world where threats of war linger abroad and domestic policies, such as social justice, have backfired in recent years, igniting a crime wave across liberal cities.

The Los Angeles Times announced Tuesday that it was laying off at least 115 people — or more than 20% of the newsroom — marking one of the largest workforce reductions in the history of the 142-year-old institution.

The move comes amid projections for another year of heavy losses for the newspaper.

The cuts were necessary because the paper could no longer lose $30 million to $40 million a year without making progress toward building higher readership that would bring in advertising and subscriptions to sustain the organization, the paper’s owner, South African Patrick Soon-Shiong, said Tuesday.

Drastic changes were needed, he said, including new leaders who would focus on strengthening the outlet’s journalism to become indispensable to more readers.

Red State noted that most of the LA Times’ problems are self-inflicted. The paper has lost public trust in recent years because it no longer provides independent reporting, and instead of questioning and challenging official narratives, the Times has opted to toe the line of government authorities, as long as those authorities are Democrats.

Red State writes:

“Besides the competition, the Times has another serious problem; they have lost touch with reality and have taken a deep dive into being just another partisan hack of the left. Decades ago, the Times used to have a solid reputation for being truly independent in the face of politics, hitting the right AND the left equally across the board. The same cannot be said of the Times anymore, as they have become a stalwart member of the huge media giant that coordinates with, supports, defends, and runs cover for the leftist political and ideological machine.”

And it’s not just the LA Times.

Mainstream news outlets have been hit with a massive wave of layoffs in 2023 and the first few weeks of 2024.

Michael Snyder of the Economic Collapse Blog said this shouldn’t be a surprise. He writes:

“Should any of us be surprised that the news industry is being hit by a massive wave of layoffs? Survey after survey has shown that the American people have lost faith in the mainstream media, and millions of us have decided to turn to other sources for news and information. Mainstream news outlets have been bleeding viewers and readers for years, and now many of the biggest names in the news industry are losing staggering amounts of money. It was only a matter of time before we witnessed large scale layoffs, and now they are here.”

The Texas vs. U.S. Border Patrol tensions over the wide-open U.S. southern border are not simmering down. In fact, they’re escalating.

Officials in Texas are determined to combat the border crisis despite a recent Supreme Court ruling that determined that the federal government’s power overrules the state’s decision to install razor wire.

The court didn’t say Texas couldn’t put up razor wire but it did say that the federal government has the authority to take it down and leave Texas and the United States vulnerable to a continued illegal invasion.

Supreme Court Justices Amy Coney Barrett and John Roberts sided with the liberal wing of the court regarding the use of razor wire and state’s rights. 

This came just after the House Oversight Committee released a shocking new report titled “Crisis at the Border,” per RSBN. It details how Border Patrol agents are unable to properly secure the border due to Biden regime policies, leaving the United States vulnerable to national security threats.  

Texas officials have ordered the Texas military to keep adding more razor wire at the border on Wednesday.

Joe Biden’s Transportation Security Administration, or TSA, is reportedly working with Customs and Border Protection to allow illegal aliens to fly without proper identification, prompting backlash from U.S. citizens who are required to show identification at airports in order to be allowed on a flight.

The New York Post reported that while U.S. citizens are required to show a passport or a valid form of identification to travel by plane both domestically and internationally, signs at various airports claim that the TSA and CBP are working together to enable illegal immigrants to travel without traditional identification documentation.

Podcaster Dave Rubin shared a picture of one of the TSA signs last week on X. The TSA sign states, “TSA is partnering with CBP to test the use of CBP One at certain TSA checkpoints to validate adult non-US citizen travel documentation when the traveler does not otherwise have an acceptable form of Identification.”

The TSA sign explains that it is “optional” for illegal immigrants to have their picture taken by a TSA officer and that the TSA will not store the immigrant’s information but will only use the information to verify information provided to CBP through the CBP One app.

Rubin slammed the Biden administration over the TSA’s new policy, writing, “This is the state of absolute insanity happening at our airports. I’m in the Pre-TSA line, where migrants don’t have to have an ID to get through security and it’s their choice whether they want their picture taken. There is a plan to destroy America.”

CNN commentator Van Jones is publicly recommending that “uninspiring, fragile” Joe Biden should lock down in his basement during the 2024 election cycle.

During an establishment media roundtable on the ratings-challenged news channel, the subtext of which was liberal anxiety over a second Donald Trump presidency, the former Obama administration “green jobs czar” suggested that Biden should default back to his limited-carbon-footprint 2020 campaign strategy.

Instead, he should let acolytes do the talking.

“If I were Biden, I would stay hidden, and I’ll tell you why. He doesn’t inspire confidence, and he’s not a great messenger for himself,” Van Jones said on Tuesday night when the panel was metaphorical handwringing over Trump’s New Hampshire primary win.

In a departure from reality, Jones went on to praise Biden’s handling of the economy — this despite the ongoing cost-of-living crisis in America prompted by Democrat’s big-spending legislation and hostility to domestic energy independence.

Time now for our nightly Worldview Report commentary.

World Health Organization Chief Dr. Tedros whined and complained Monday that a “torrent of fake news, lies, and conspiracy theories” may have successfully derailed the globalists’ efforts to establish a worldwide pandemic treaty.

Tedros has spearheaded an effort to draft and implement a global pandemic treaty or other international accord giving his organization authority over public health policy that currently resides with national governments.

These efforts to bypass national sovereignty have been ongoing since at least 2020 when the world was struggling to contain the wave of death and severe illness caused by the lab-created Covid bioweapon. Leaders at the 2021 World Health Assembly, the annual meeting of WHO member states, discussed the possibility of passing a pandemic accord but a draft did not exist until early 2023.

Widespread concerns regarding the erosion of sovereignty and human rights, possible if the WHO obtains the authority to dictate public health policy, have stalled the momentum for the treaty, which is supported by the U.S. administration of Joe Biden.

Tedros accused hesitant governments of failing to understand the urgency of empowering his agency and blamed a “torrent of fake news, lies, and conspiracy theories” for the delays, according to the Agence France-Presse (AFP). He claimed it was “absolutely false” that the pandemic accord would allow the WHO to enforce lockdowns, mask wearing, vaccines and other civil rights violations above the wishes of member states.

Tedros delivered a speech on Monday at the opening of the first meeting this year of the executive board of the WHO in which he noted that the organization was seeking to conclude its establishment of a pandemic accord at the 2024 WHA and time was allegedly running out.

“At the political level, world leaders at the UN General Assembly High-Level Meeting agreed a strong political declaration, including a commitment to conclude negotiations on the pandemic agreement and amendments to the International Health Regulations by May this year,” he noted, “But I must say I am gravely concerned that Member States may not meet that commitment.”

“Time is very short, and there are several outstanding issues that remain to be resolved,” he warned, adding:

“In my view, a failure to deliver the pandemic agreement and the IHR amendments will be a missed opportunity for which future generations may not forgive us.”

If Tedros is “gravely concerned” that his U.N. World Health Organization is on the verge of a “missed opportunity” to implement global government, that can only be a good thing. Let this tyrant whine like a deprived child all day long.

It just shows that the alternative media is having an impact. Because there has been zero critical reporting on this planned pandemic treaty in the mainstream corporate media. It’s only outlets like this one that have been putting out the truth on this issue.
