According to Seda va Sima news agency (IRIBNews), Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, assistant and senior advisor to the Supreme Leader of Iran and the chief commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), during his trip to China and continuing his consultations with the officials of this country, said: China and Iran must reach a common understanding regarding threats and common interests.

Major General Rahim Safavi, in continuation of his plans during his trip to Beijing, met with the deputy of the Joint Staff of the Chinese Army and visited Kiker and CIIS think tanks and the Chinese Academy of Military Sciences.

In a meeting with General Jing Jianshen, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Chinese Army, he said: The armed forces of China and Iran must reach a common understanding of all kinds of threats and common interests.

Safavi, referring to the slogan of the Beijing Xiangshan Security Summit entitled "Common Security and Sustainable Peace", said: "I suggest that common security and sustainable peace be implemented first between the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the conclusion of a non-aggression pact." The aggression among members of Shanghai can be a model for this work.

Also, in this meeting, while appreciating Major General Safavi's presence and speech at the Xiangshan Security Summit in Beijing, the deputy of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Chinese Army said: China and Iran have maintained good relations despite the international developments.

He added: China is aware of Iran's role in regional affairs and congratulates the Islamic Republic of Iran on its membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and BRICS.

The deputy of the Joint Staff of the Chinese Army emphasized: Iran's armed forces are one of the important partners of the Chinese army, and the presidents of the two countries are aware of the importance of improving the level of cooperation in various dimensions.

Also, Major General Safavi talked with the director and officials of Kiker think tank about the geopolitical developments of the world.

As the top study center of China, Kiker think tank has an important contribution in formulating the strategy and policies of this country.

Referring to the unilateralism of the American government, Major General Rahim Safavi said in Kiker think tank: The role of the Chinese government is important to counter the American government's attempt to gain hegemonic power as well as the unilateralism of this country.

Major General Safavi continued his programs by attending the CIIS think tank and exchanged views with the director of this think tank as the highest study center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, as well as the directors of other Chinese think tanks about Asian and world issues.

In this meeting, Sardar Rahim Safavi, emphasizing the oppression and legal rights of the Palestinian people, considered the Al-Aqsa storm operation as a legitimate defense against more than 75 years of occupation by the Zionist regime.

Referring to the US government's support for the Zionist regime, he said: The US government is in charge of this war and the Zionist regime is the agent of its implementation.

Safavi pointed to the crimes and genocide of the Zionist regime in Gaza and emphasized the need to immediately stop the war and send emergency aid including medicine, food, fuel, and water to Gaza.
