ENDURING SOUND DOCTRINE Chris discusses the warning of the Apostle Paul who foretold that the time would come when men would "not ENDURE sound doctrine." Typically, when we think of endurance, we imagine athletes facing olympic trials -- perhaps runners trying to finish a race. But what does it mean to endure sound doctrine? In our time, we are watching church leaders and whole denomination capitulate to worldly ideas. In particular, the subject of homosexual marriage and "gay Christianity" comes up again and again. But does the church in America have the endurance necessary to be faithful to the commandments of God? In another story, the Archbishop of Canterbury reports that for the Church of England to support gay marriage would be "catastrophic" for Christians in other parts of the world -- in particular, in Muslim countries where believers have been blamed for the actions of Western churches.
