Abner Chou: Verse By Verse on 2 Timothy (Lesson #7)

A historic meeting took place at the White House recently and it was focused on the most dangerous region in the World, the Middle East. That meeting, between the US President Donald Trump and the Prime Minister of Israel, was key to the future Middle East Policy of the new Trump Administration. Today on PTIB Jimmy DeYoung will discuss the atmosphere and the agenda of that meeting, from the Israeli prospective, with Winkie Medad. Jimmy and Winkie will look at the conversation between the two world leaders as it relates to Iran, the Israeli-Palerstinian conflict, and the Jewish settlements.

Our Favorite Heresies (Part 2)

Mike and Steve banter heresies like a 1970’s pinball machine. #tilt

Cessationism vs. Continuism part 13 Feb. 21, 2017

In today's program we will look at some very interesting internal evidence from Scripture that the apostolic gifts had already begun to fade away and pass out of operation even while the apostles were still alive. I will also play an audio clip from a man named Todd White who claims to be a street healer and we will evaluate his claims.

CANADA & SHARIA LAW
Chris discusses the controversial motion in Canadian politics called M-103 -- a motion presented by a Liberal Muslim politician named Iqra Khalid. The motion calls for the government of Canada to condemn "Islamophobia and
all forms of systemic racism and religious discrimination."  Since Islam is the only belief system mentioned, could this be the beginning of Sharia law in Canada?

Series: With the Master on Our Knees (Vol.2)

Lesson: 13

Title: The High Priestly Prayer, Part 1

Passage: John 17

Description: The High Priestly Prayer has been said to be the most remarkable prayer prayed by our Lord before the cross. As we begin part 1 of this prayer, we will consider Christ’s prayer for Himself. As we do we will consider: The Posture of His Prayer; The Petition of His Prayer and the Purpose of Christ’s coming! As one man said about John 17, “Like Moses at the burning bush, we would do well to remove the shoes from our feet. The place whereon we now stand is holy ground.”

Today on PTIB Jimmy DeYoung and Dave James have their weekly conversation about an issue key to the Christian walk. Jimmy and Dave will discuss Dave's ministry in Uganda; the location of this African nation and it's Islamic faith; and then a discussion about a Baptist Pastor who says he must become a Muslim if he is to be true to his own Christian faith, which as Dave will bring out is a total contradiction in terms.

It's NOT Rocket Science with Jason Pratt is a weekly radio outreach of The Anvil Ministry that applies a scientific approach in conjunction with the clarifying lense of God's Word the Bible as we look at a variety of issues ranging from scientific to theological and everything in between. Former atheist and dedicated rocket engineer/scientist Jason Pratt applies the education and training he has recieved in graduate studies in aerospace engineering, tactical figher jet flights, test pilot school and numerous successful yet challenging launches and space operations missions.

Join us on Mission 17-02 as we explore: 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, a hero of science and a believer of the Bible, important aspects of critical thinking which is something largely missing from many classrooms today particularly as many in the world of biological science celebrate the 208th birthday of Charles Darwin, yet many of the proofs Darwin expected would materialize, have not in over a century of looking. What does this have to do with critical thinking and how can important lessons learned at the military's Survivial Evasion Resistance and Escape or "SERE" school be applied here? We go to Balboa Park in San Diego to listen in on open air presentations during a Debunk Darwin on his birthday event and we raise the ire of one Museum of Man employee.

Mad At God (Part 1)

Please listen in as Pastor Mike preaches this recent sermon titled: "Mad At God (Part 1)."

When you read the headlines, the future looks dark. But believers in the race of life know the goal line is not affected by this present darkness. Peter wrote that we’re born again to a living hope. How does this hope change our daily lives and prepare us for the world to come?

Carl Kerby is the president and founder of Reasons for Hope. Prior to its forming, he was a founding board member of Answers in Genesis and served there for 15 years. Carl is also a former air traffic controller at Chicago-O'Hare. He is co-creator and host for the video series, 'Weapons of Mass Instruction' and presenter of the DVD series for teens, 'Demolishing Strongholds'. He is the author of 'Remote Control: The Power of Hollywood on Today's Culture', 'Absotively, Posilutely: The Best Evidence for Creation' and 'Reasons for Hope in the Mosaic of Your Life'.

Carl began by noting that 6 years ago he was booked out a year and a half and ministry opportunities were 'off the charts'. However, he admitted that God had put on his heart that he wanted him to go after the younger generation and fathers. Why? 50%-88% of young people raised in the church are gone by the time they reach age 18. He wanted to look young people in the eye and tell them that God's Word is true and trustworthy. It deals with issues that they're being confronted with, therefore they don't have to be ashamed of their faith.

What's the best way to do this? It's by remembering to teach application and not simply memorization.

Are these issues the same for young people today as they were for those of yesteryear? Carl believes that ultimately the core issue is doubt and that's the tool that Satan has been using going all the way back to Genesis. So the tool hasn't changed but the way that the questions are being asked has changed.

What are some of the messages today's kids are hearing? Some include: You can't trust the Bible because it's full of mistakes and errors. Why would God allow death and suffering? What about carbon dating? What about continental drift? What about aliens and U.F.O.'s? Why is homosexuality wrong if they love each other? All of these go back to a core issue of whether or not you can really trust in absolute truth. Is there an absolute authority that will serve as a foundation from which to deal with such issues?

Are churches tending to these critical areas of need and countering the false messages? While Carl believes there are individuals who are really 'going after it', he doesn't believe it's the majority. In fact, he noted that the majority of Christian colleges won't address this issue. He sees the same attitude among Christian churches that won't address such issues for fear of offending people, fear of driving someone away, they don't feel the issue is that important or they just don't know how to deal with it.

Jim then turned the discussion to Evolution Sunday which is celebrated by some people on the second Sunday of every February. This year we saw 13,479 clergy sign on to the Clergy Letter Project. That's the number of clergy who committed to engaging this issue.

Jim read the 'common letter' of this effort that included the following: '...the timeless truths of the Bible and the discoveries of modern science may comfortably coexist. We believe that the theory of evolution is a foundational, scientific truth, one that has stood up to rigorous scrutiny and upon which much of human knowledge and achievement rest. To reject this truth or to treat it as one theory among others is to deliberately embrace scientific ignorance and transmit such ignorance to our children...We ask that science remain science and that religion remain religion, two very different but complimentary forms of truth.'

In response, Carl asked how you can transform hearts if the book from which we learn about the one who can transform hearts isn't true? Science, on the other hand, changes. What gives people the right to change it? Christians have stood by and have failed to get involved and tell people they have no right to redefine terms. Science is knowledge. How do you gain that? You gain it through the scientific method. That's where you come up with an observation, a hypothesis based upon the observation, you test it, you repeat it and you verify it. There is no test that allows you to show an amoeba coming from nothing, turning into something, to grow into a worm, grow legs, crawl onto land, become an amphibian, to turn into a rat, to turn into a wolf and then go back into the ocean to become a blue whale. There's no evidence for this. It's a belief.

God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end! Today on “Encounter God’s Truth” we consider many details about the events that will unfold—in God’s plan—surrounding the return of our Lord.

Dr. John Whitcomb is continuing in a series called, “Our Glorious Future in Christ.” This latest message includes a consideration of Revelation 1, where John sees a vision of the risen, glorified Christ.

Host Wayne Shepherd then inquires of Dr. Whitcomb about some of the differences between Christ’s coming at the rapture of the church and His final return at the second coming.

We trust that this program, offering a study in Bible prophecy, will be a real encouragement to all who listen.

President Trump recently met with sheriffs from around the country to discuss, among other things, civil asset forfeiture.  In this week's boralogue, John shows why the President's decision to endorse forfeiture is wrong, looking at its history from good idea to money-grabbing corruption.  Upholding the Constitution must return to policing.

How does newly appointed Attorney General Jeff Sessions link to civil asset forfeiture?   Prominent forfeiture attorney Brenda Grantland (www.brendagrantland.com) points out that despite the increase of thousands of cases each year, made possible by Sessions' proposals in the Senate, drugs and crime have not decreased.

A whistleblower has revealed that the NOAA manipulated statistics in an attempt to assure climate conference attendees that the earth's temperature is increasing.  Rejoining the program is Dr. Matt Briggs (www.wmbriggs.com), Adjunct Professor at Cornell University, who points out that taking the earth's temperature is quite difficult and climate alarmists will use whatever data best fits their narrative.

After President Trump's press conference with Benjamin Netanyahu this week, mainstream news outlets cried foul when he didn't call on them for questions.  Curtis Houck (www.newsbusters.org), Managing Editor of NewsBusters refutes the media's claim that not calling on them is an attack on free speech as well as their attempt to equate new democrat townhalls with the Tea Party movement in 2009.

The hard Left seems content on being apologists for Islamic jihadists, but why?  Richard Landes (www.seconddraft.org), History Professor at Boston University explains that the Left and jihadists have similar goals in combating supposed Western imperialism.  The Left doesn't realize, though, that they will be discarded when the mission is finished.

John’s quote of the week:

"If you expect us to support law enforcement when people say that police lives don't count – and we have and we do support you in that – then we expect you to support your oath to protect and defend the Constitution, not your cash flow."

Cessationism vs. Continuism part 11 Feb. 20, 2017

In today's program we will take a look at church history. Though we do not formulate doctrine and theology off of church history in and of itself, looking at the history of the church can be instructive for us. Is there any evidence in church history of people speaking in tongues?
