Destitute, Defended & Dead Widows I Timothy 5.3-10

Civil forfeiture has been a hot button topic at Steel on Steel for many years. In the boralogue this week, John gives us a history of civil forfeiture and shows how it has grown from a nice idea to a mechanism for extortion. The FAIR Act was introduced this week in Congress and looks to reform the many constitutional violations found in forfeiture laws. Will Congress do the right thing? Up first this week, John speaks with Kathleen Hartnett-White (www.texaspolicy.com), Director of the Armstrong Center at the Texas Public Policy Foundation. She examines the popularity of renewable energies, and how, despite ringing endorsements from the global warming crowd, traditional energies will be needed as a backup to keep ahead of demand. We then transition to Brian Grim (www.religiousfreedomandbussiness.org), President of the Religious Freedom & Business Foundation, who shows how, in the face of persecution in China, Christians are contributing to the vitality of the country’s economy. With violence from radical Islamists continuing to rage around the world, Jonathan Keiler (www.parentsandpgcps.ning.com), world history teacher at Bowie High School in Maryland, joins us to discuss the dichotomy between moderate and radical Muslims and whether Islam is willing and/or able to reform.

Dr. John Whitcomb continues Part 3 of his series, “Zechariah: The LORD Remembers,” this week on “Encounter God’s Truth.” Together with host Wayne Shepherd, we remind ourselves that God’s Word is true from the beginning to the end—as we look at one of the most famous passages in the writings of this prophet. Zechariah gives information that would have been difficult to understand in his day, but which we can see in much clearer view on the basis of God’s complete revelation. We contemplate how this passage relates to both comings of Christ our Savior. With gratitude to Middletown Bible Church in Middletown, Connecticut, we bring you this unique message called “The Prophet’s Perspective.” We urge you to share this program with friends as you encourage them with this simple but profound truth—“The LORD Remembers.”

Jimmy DeYoung and Dave James will have a very interesting conversation on PTIB, which is also a very important discussion as it relates on the subject of "heaven". There are those who say they have gone to heaven and returned to earth. Now there is one of those who has recanted on his report of that trip to heaven. Dave and Jimmy will remind all listening that the only book on heaven that is absolute and can be trusted is the Bible.

JUDGE ROY MOORE DENOUNCES GAY JUDICIAL TYRANNY Chris discusses the story of Alabama Supreme Court Justice, Roy Moore -- known for his conflict over the Ten Commandments years ago -- and his assertion that state governments have no responsibility to uphold the rulings in federal courts in favor of gay marriage. How should Christians respond to these rulings that clearly violate the laws of God?

This news round-up program had Vic Eliason bringing the following stories to the attention of Crosstalk listeners: --Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore has issued a strongly worded letter to the governor urging him to fight back against last week's federal court ruling overturning the state's marriage protection laws that defines marriage as a union between one man and one women. --Alabama's only openly gay lawmaker says that if her colleagues don't stop describing same-sex marriage as immoral, she will publicly “out” her heterosexual colleagues because she claims some of them are having extramarital affairs. --Author Pamela Geller wonders why the media is not calling out President Obama for the treachery of exchanging senior Taliban leadership in exchange for deserter Bowe Bergdahl. --White House pressuring the Army to let Bowe Bergdahl go free. --Recordings of top Pentagon officials in 2011 strongly criticize Hillary Clinton for leading a State Department march to war against dictator Muammar Gaddafi of Libya and for working with the Muslim Brotherhood. They confirm the conclusions of the Citizens Commission on Benghazi. --Mitt Romney gives official announcement that he will not run for president. --Secretary of State John Kerry has planned a trip to Moscow to discuss the ongoing Ukraine crisis. --War survival manuals dispersed to Lithuanian schools.

When God chose to communicate how He cares for His own, He gave the picture of a shepherd tending his flock. Shepherds do more than guide their sheep to food and water. They take a personal interest in every sheep.

Supernatural–Part 2 Why do people seek signs and wonders from God? Is this okay to do? Would these supernatural events result in people changing? How does God change people?

Today on PTIB Jimmy DeYoung has a world renown archaeologist, Gabi Barkay, who lives in Jerusalem, and will discuss with Jimmy the original site for the modern day city of Jerusalem, the capital city of the State of Israel. These two men will discuss the controversy surrounding the archaeological dig going on there; the Palestinian dig that happened several years ago and the reclamation project that Gabi directs, with over 250,000 voluntaries.

Politicians speak of vast conspiracies against them. But the real conspiracy is that of the nations of the world in revolt against God. Psalm 2 tells us that God sits in heaven, laughing at man’s attempt to remove Him from society.
