Brannon explains that he recently discovered a fourth reason he is so uncomfortable with all the prayer rallies that are for the purpose of revival. Once you hear the reason you will likely agree. The emphasis of the organizers of such rallies has almost without exception not been to pray for the will of God to be done but to declare that the rallies themselves could cause God to respond in a certain manner. Such thinking is pagan to the core and is really part of white magic because it ultimately says that God is an agent of man and when man does something God is obliged to respond in the way man desires. How is such thinking any different than that of the New Agers that teach god is a force or engry field that they use to their advantage? If you doubt this type of theology is behind these prayer rallies then listen to what the National Day of Prayer website declares as to the reason for prayer. Topic: Hear the audio of Glenn Beck describing how David Barton told him that the Third Great Awakening has begun. David Barton could not be more wrong! You cannot have a Biblical revival or Biblical, spiritual awakening when people like Barton and Beck are proclaiming false theology and uniting in unbiblical, spiritual enterprises that God's Word declares will bring the opposite of God's blessing as described in 2 Corinthians 6:14-17. Topic: Our phone lines light up with callers wanting to respond.

Mike continues this miniseries titled "Run From Hell." Like it or not, the Bible emphatically teaches that Hell is a place of literal and continual suffering. Did Jesus, Love Incarnate, teach that Hell was true? Is God in Hell? If so, how? Does ‘eternal’ mean conditional mortality? Sober truths that should lead to praise and evangelism. Unbelievers, repent before it is too late.

Today on PTIB Jimmy DeYoung goes to the catbird seat in Washington to have a conversation with Ken Timmerman, on geo-political events happening around the world. These two will discuss the concern of the Israeli government over the meeting in Moscow between President Putin and a number of Middle Eastern leaders; in the meeting in Moscow, Putin promised assistance to these leaders in acquiring nukes which could provide these nations "weapons-grade uranium"; the White House fudging on the reports of how the fight against IS is going well; and an Iranian official that says Israel will be annihilated ; and how a child dressed as a "jihadii" beheads his "teddy bear".

Each believer needs the Word of God on a daily basis, just like we need food and water. We need to develop an appetite for the Bible, but sin can curb that appetite. Let’s make the way clear for the Word of God to do its work.

Over a period of 1,600 years, God inspired about 40 authors who penned what we know as the Bible. This book is far more than a collection of writings. It’s the revealed Word of God, bearing the power to change the lives of its readers.

Arguments From Atheists (Part 3):
Steve and Mike continue to examine some of the
“best” arguments against Christianity. Various worldviews contribute to this show’s content and the hosts banter back and forth in typical NoCo style.

Today on PTIB Jim Jr joins me, as we deal with the potpourri of events in the month of September that many are saying will set the stage for the fulfillment of Bible Prophecy. Jim and I will discuss these events to determine if, from a Biblical prospective, they truly are the precursors to the fulfillment of a Biblical scenario that God gave the ancient Jewish Prophets for us in these days, seemingly, the last days. You need to hear the response that I will give, and then pass along these thoughts to a friend.

Jim began this Crosstalk with a question: 'Have you ever been at the point knowing you need to study the Scriptures but you don't know how or where to begin?' He went on to describe Genesis as foundational to a proper understanding to the rest of the Bible. It introduces us to God, his creation, his sovereignty, his promise and his redemptive plan. A handy resource has been published allowing you to easily study Genesis on your own. It's called, '40 Days Through Genesis: Discover the Story that Started it All' and was written by Ron Rhodes. Ron is the president of Reasoning from the Scriptures Ministries, a teaching and resource ministry that specializes in defending Christianity against atheists, agnostics, skeptics, the cults, world religions and any group teaching false doctrine. Ron is the author of over 70 books. According to Ron, Genesis means 'beginnings.' It represents the beginning of many things including the creation of the heavens and the earth, humankind, God's revelation to and interaction with humankind, human sin, the work of Satan, God's redemptive promise, Israel's birth through Abraham and the covenant relationships, etc. Here's a small sample of content that Ron covers on this program along with details he shares regarding his new book: --If Genesis is historical, how could Moses record the creation account? --What does the word 'created' mean in the context of Genesis? --Scripture reading and insight --Digging deeper with cross references --Life lessons --Questions for reflection and discussion --Why are Genesis and Revelation great 'bookends'? --Why is it important to be a 'Genesis Christian'? Overall, Ron believes you can't properly understand the rest of the Bible without first understanding Genesis. Find out why when you review this fascinating Crosstalk broadcast.
