Jerusalem a Burdensome Stone for the Nations Part 1-Part 3

Zechariah 12:1-3 "The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it."

On December 6th, President Donald Trump made a historic and perhaps prophetic decision to declare that the United States would recognize Jerusalem as Israel's historic and eternal capital and move the US Embassy there. This sent the Muslim world, the Palestinians and most of the world's nations into an evil frenzy, showing their true colors. We are sure living in the last days.

What does the Bible say about Jerusalem? How does Jerusalem play into Bible prophecy and the return of the Lord Jesus Christ? What is the right Biblical position for Christians to take on the Jewish people claiming Jerusalem as their capital? Do Muslims have any rightful claim to Jerusalem?

Shahram will discuss these questions and much more. These will be important shows to share with all of those who desire to seek the truth of God's Word on the matter of Jerusalem.

(Program #80) Usama Dakdok reveals the dangers of interfaith dialogues by playing the audio of the interfaith dialogue between James White and Jihadi Yasir-Qadhi. Usama will start and stop the audio as he provides commentary and uses this as a opportunity to refute the misinformation with truth.

At Christmas we’d rather not think about the end of life. But Jesus gives eternal life to those who believe in Him. This means that death is not the end. Instead, death will give way to victory as we enter into the real life we were meant to live.

Frank Gaffney is the founder, president and CEO of the Center for Security Policy, a not-for-profit, non-partisan educational corporation. He's a national security expert and served in the Reagan administration as the assistant secretary of defense for international security policy. He's the lead author of 'War Footing: Ten Steps America Must Take to Prevail in the War for the Free World', co-author of 'Sharia: The Threat to America' and other titles as well.

President Trump recently signed into law the 700 billion dollar 2018 National Defense Authorization Act. Through this the president appears to be promising a major military buildup. Does Frank believe this hits the mark or does this miss it?

Frank believes this legislation is a positive step in the right direction after decades of benign neglect by the two Bush administrations, and at worst, a wrecking operation against our military by the Obama administration.

On Israel, Frank sees the desire to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem as significant because it recognizes reality. That reality is that Israel has won repeatedly in a succession of wars. He believes that as we indulge in the fantasy and false narrative that the Palestinians are entitled to all of this land, they want to drive the Jews into the sea and they actually haven't been defeated, the more you'll find them behaving in the way they have all these years. That includes engaging in jihadist behavior, not just against Israel, but against Americans and others who are on our side.

Yesterday, Ambassador Nikki Haley indicated she has irrefutable evidence that Iran deliberately violated the so-called 'Iran Deal'. Frank has not seen the evidence Haley speaks of, but he thinks what she's pointing out is that Iran has been collaborating with North Korea to acquire nuclear weapons technology and capability and the missiles with which to deliver that. President Obama gave Iran 150 billion dollars, some of which Frank believes is migrating to North Korea, while he believes North Korea is possibly sharing nuclear missiles with Iran.

Does Frank see any subsiding of tensions between the U.S. and North Korea? Is the solution to take the diplomatic route or is it peace through strength? Frank communicated that we've sought a diplomatic solution for a long time. Diplomacy has been used by the North Korean's to buy time as well as to obtain the resources that's enabled them to continue to build the threats that confront our nation. In essence, he believes diplomacy has been a failure up to this point, yet the alternative can be very costly in terms of lives lost. Unfortunately, we may have no other choice but to act preemptively to protect our nation.

Does China have any culpability in all of this? Successive administrations have told us that China is our partner in trying to contain the North Korean threat. Frank has never believed that and it's become increasingly apparent that China has actually been enabling this threat. Frank described the contrast this way: North Korea has made advances in nuclear weapons technology, yet this is coming from an impoverished, backward nation. They could not possibly do this by themselves. In other words, Frank believes North Korea has been benefiting in this way from China. So far from being a partner, he believes China is enabling this threat.

Russia and China are aggressively expanding their nuclear arsenal. Are we keeping up with this? Do we recognize this threat? Having worked for the Reagan administration, he recognizes how that was the 'heyday' of America's attentiveness to the need to have a reliable, safe, effective and credible nuclear deterrent. Ever since, we've been neglecting our nuclear arsenal. In fact, we haven't even tested an underground nuclear weapon since 1992 and have scarcely done any modernization. So we're basically living off the legacy of what was accomplished during the Reagan years.

ROY MOORE, SHARIA & THE WAR IN TRIPOLI
Chris discusses the aftermath of the recent election in Alabama, where Judge Roy Moore lost his attempt at gaining a Republican Senate seat — why was he so opposed by the Republican Party?  Also discussed are two court cases that some believe contain elements of Sharia law here in the U.S., and a review of Thomas Jefferson’s conflict against Islam in the Barbary Coast War in Tripoli.

Today on PTIB Jimmy DeYoung goes to the "catbird seat" in Washington to talk with Ken Timmerman who has a potpourri of geo-political activities to report on to each of us. Jimmy and Ken will discuss President Trump being the first President to have the courage to announce to the world that Jerusalem is the political capitol of the Jewish State of Israel; US troops may be the target of those Islamic radicals who disagree with the President on Jerusalem; 250 Rabbis "bless" Trump at the Western Wall in the City that is foretold to be the "City of Controversy", in the last days; and many Muslims are saying that the Trump announcement about Jerusalem is a "declaration of war".

"The GateKeepers Radio Show | Episode 10 | Making Light of the Abused | Tim Hurd of BTWN (Bible Thumping Wingnut Network) posted this on Twitter: "Today A female security guard referred to me as 'love'. #MeToo I don’t feel safe anymore.” Fred Butler of Grace To You (John MacArthur’s teaching ministry) responded with the following comment: “Was She Hot?” Being that the hashtag #MeToo is used by women to share their traumatic experiences being the victims of abuse, is making light of this hashtag really appropriate for Christian leaders? Additionally, should any Christian men joke with their friends about a woman who is not your wife being hot? Is that honoring to God, or is that Locker Room talk that has no place in the church? In the 10th episode of The GateKeepers Radio Show, Jeff answers these questions and takes a look at what God’s Word has to say.

Jerusalem a Burdensome Stone for the Nations Part 2

Dave Dolan, a Broadcast Partner with Jimmy DeYoung, will have a Middle East News Update for all listening today to PTIB. Jimmy and Dave will discuss the declaration by Present Trump of Jerusalem being the political capitol of the State of Israel and the reaction from the Arab and Muslim world; the fact that Iran has ordered the Palestinians to start an intifada, a public, violent uprising; the Arab World saying that Trump's statement is a "declaration of war"; and this is the 30th anniversary of the first intifada, started by Hamas, not Yasser Arafat.

The lights of Christmas come down in January. But the light Jesus brings into the hearts of believers can burn brighter every day. Sin can quickly douse that light, so we must be diligent to walk in the paths of righteousness.

This edition of Crosstalk began with news related to yesterday's program regarding transgenders in the military. The Department of Justice filed an appeal in the DC Federal Appeals Court after the U.S. District Court for DC said that the military must begin accepting so-called transgender recruits. The Justice Department has appealed that to the next court level and if they won't hear the case, Jim indicated the next level may be the Supreme Court.

The next item on the agenda dealt with the latest news concerning the Alabama Senate election involving Republican Roy Moore and his Democrat challenger Doug Jones. Jones received 49.9% of the vote while Moore received 48.7%. If after provisional, absentee and military ballots are counted, the margin between the candidates is more than one-half of one percent, Moore will have to pay for any recount.

Jim then presented news regarding the Human Rights Campaign. This pro-LGBT organization is gloating over the Doug Jones victory.

Comments were also presented from Brian Darling, former staffer for Senator Rand Paul, who believes the victory by Jones will hurt the conservative agenda.

After presenting those news items, Jim took calls from listeners who were allowed to get on their 'soap box' and express what's on their hearts and minds.

(Program #78) Usama Dakdok reveals the dangers of interfaith dialogues by playing the audio of the interfaith dialogue between James White and Jihadi Yasir-Qadhi. Usama will start and stop the audio as he provides commentary and uses this as a opportunity to refute the misinformation with truth.

The Christmas season is officially upon us. But many don’t understand the significance of the celebration. It’s sad that so much darkness permeates our culture, but that’s why we look to Jesus as our source of light.

President Obama opened the floodgates for transgenderism to be front and center in our military. This drastic change in policy also allows the American taxpayer to pay for so-called 'transition therapy' and 'transition surgery'. We're told it's a 'right' and that it allows our nation's finest to be involved in our military readiness.

President Trump, on the other hand, sees things differently. He put a ban on the Obama order taking effect, that is until 2 federal judges decided that they have more authority on this issue that the Commander in Chief.

Where do things stand? How immanent is this for the military? What can you do?

Joining Jim to discuss this issue was Elaine Donnelly. Elaine is the president of the Center for Military Readiness, an independent, nonpartisan, public policy organization that specializes in military/social issues.

Back in 2010, President Obama was pushing hard to repeal the 1993 law regarding gays in the military. At that time it was denied that repeal would lead to what we're seeing today; an open door into the military for those who are confused about their gender identity.

Unfortunately, the Department of Defense has bought into the idea that gender can be changed, and the leaders of the military have gone along with Obama's mandates, directives, instructions and training programs.

Now we're at the point that there are some holdovers from the Obama administration and the Department of Defense that are resisting President Trump. In addition, there are 2 activist federal judges, one in Washington, D.C. and another in Baltimore, one of which, according to Elaine, seems to be acting as supreme judicial commander of the military. Judges have no constitutional authority to run the military and the result is that President Trump's directives are being undermined.

Anthony Kurta implemented the transgender policies under President Obama. Kurta has been running the study group/panel of experts that will make recommendations to President Trump on what his policy concerning transgenders should be. He's going to be the deputy to the official in the Pentagon who is supposed to be responsible for these personnel matters.

Unfortunately Secretary of Defense Mattis cannot create delays on this issue without being in contempt of court. However, Elaine believes he could clean the holdovers out of his department who are helping advance the LGBT cause. This could start with the already mentioned Anthony Kurta.

So why does President Obama's pen seem to have more power than President Trump's pen? Elaine explained that it's simply because the judge said so. One one hand the judge said that the military agreed with Obama's policy and according to Elaine, 'They were duty bound to make that policy work.' On the other hand the judge said they couldn't wait for the Department of Defense to come up with an objective study because President Trump already announced his intent via Tweets, therefore it won't be fair, open and objective, so the plaintiffs win. She then issued a preliminary injunction saying this is so urgent that the policy of the president must be overturned and everything has to begin January 1, a date that Secretary Mattis agreed to.

Elaine believes the only way to stop this is for the Trump administration to fight the order from the judge and have the Department of Justice do what they should have done weeks ago, and that's to appeal this directly to the Supreme Court.
