Two of the nation’s largest religious groups are openly promoting socialism and communism. The first is the Southern Baptist Convention which is the largest protestant denomination in America. The second is the Catholic church that has a long history of promoting socialism. However, under the leadership of the last two Pope’s much of the leadership of the Catholic church is openly embracing communism and globalism. In this first of a two part series Brannon reads from the Jesuit Review and their July 2019 article entitled “The Catholic Case for Communism.” This article is seeking to repackage communism and portray those embracing it as doing so for the common good and the creation of a classless society.
