Over the years some critics that have wanted to control and silence Brannon and keep him from talking about certain people or topics have asked him what church he attends and if he has an elder board that oversees his broadcasts and books. Some even will quote Hebrews 13:17 that reads: Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. The word rule and the word obey are not an accurate meaning as revealed in the Greek.
