A Good Question

A <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Good Question  - Ray Comfort<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

"Ray, why do Creationists find it funny that you say bananas are designed to fit the human hand and that that is testament to the genius of the Creator? Why would it be funny to them? To my knowledge you've never answered this question, and I don't think that you can." Raoul RheitsThis is a great question. It's because Christians have a sense of humor, and recognize a little wit when they see it. Almost all of my audios have humor in them, but I rarely use it on this blog. The reason for this, is because even though many atheists have a great sense of humor, the bitter and angry ones (that I mostly deal with) have no sense of humor at all. The banana routine was meant to be funny (something I have said from the beginning). I even thought it was funny. Christians thought it was funny. My mistake was doing it on television without a live audience, and some humorless atheists took it seriously. Perhaps we should have used a laughing-track so that they could have spotted it. But now Thunderf00t has made this video which vindicates me, by showing a live audience who are responding with laughter. He has even created another one called "Creationist Cowards Diss Darwin" in which he not only promotes my books, but he gives my website address. Maybe Thunderf00t has been thinking about the discussion we had about God. Maybe he's been reading his Bible. Maybe he's a closet Christia . . . Nah.

More Boring Parachute Stuff
"Jesus said if you lust, you have already committed adultery. I don't mind saying that Jesus was dead wrong about this. . . . It's just marketing. They want you to think that you NEED their product by redefining something natural. But even though you want it, you don't NEED it. Like Pepsi."Instead of Pepsi, a better analogy would be a parachute (one I use all the time). Of course lust is natural to sinful man. No one has to teach us to do it; it comes naturally. So does lying and stealing. It's natural for us to be selfish and greedy, from the time we are toddlers. Back to Pepsi and parachutes. The soda manufactures don't really care if you want it or need it. They simply want (and, with today's economy) need you to buy it. That's their motive. Profit. So where is the profit for God in a sinner coming to the Savior? There is no gain whatsoever. God doesn't need us at all. The Bible says He can make stones into people, if He wants to. It's evident that you don't see your need of a Savior, and so the best favor I could do for you at the moment is point you towards the moral Law--the Ten Commandments. If you were standing on the edge of a plane 10,000 feet in the air and you didn't see your need to put on a parachute, the best favor I could do for you would be to point out that gravity will unforgivingly pull you towards the center of the earth. If your brain is working, that knowledge should create fear, and that fear should drive you to put a parachute on, quickly. In the same way, each of us stand on the edge of eternity. My job as a witness of Jesus Christ is to point out that the perfect and unforgiving Law of God will justly pull you to Hell. It must see that justice is done, and it's a Law that considers lust to be adultery, hatred to be murder. It will seek out sin against God right down to the wicked imagination of the sinful human heart. Nothing is hid from its searching eye. So let your fear work for you and drive you to "put on the Lord Jesus Christ." I wouldn't lie to you. This is more serious than a heart attack.
