THE SOUTHERN BAPTIST IMB ” How does Gen Z think about missions?
One night. Two hours. Together, we’ll begin a conversation about our future.”
Rev Thomas Littleton 10/3/2020
If you were suffering from “Rethink fatigue ” in the last decade, take a deep breath .Now the International Missions Board of the SBC wants to take your Gen Z family members into the same endless exercise in frustration. Truly there is nothing new under the Baptist sun. Change agents love to “Rethink ” and “Vision Cast” especially to the young and vulnerable.
The upcoming October IMB virtual conference is selling this recasting with a variety of Lausanne , Gospel Coalition and progressive partners.
Gen Z is the newest generation to be named and were born between 1996 and 2015. They are currently between 5-24 years old (nearly 68 million in U.S.)
“God’s mission never changes. John’s vision, revealed in Revelation 7:9, remains our vision—a multitude from every language, people, tribe and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ.”
“Yet our world and the people who inhabit it are changing every day. What are the implications of these changes on our collective work toward the Great Commission? At IMB, we believe every church has a role to play in reaching every nation with the gospel. That means every follower of Jesus must consider their role in light of the realities we face today.”
“Let’s talk about the future of missions.”
“Please join Dr. Paul Chitwood, President of the IMB, David Kinnaman, President of Barna, and a panel of experts on October 29th at 7pm EDT for a 2-hour virtual event:
WHY KINNAMAN AND BARNA ARE BAD PARTNERS
Kinnaman is a favorite go to partner of the divisive and progressive efforts of Tim Keller, Gabe Lyons and The Gospel Coalition (TGC) . The trio have worked on a variety of projects to move young Christians leftward in their politics. In 2012 the three met with then newly elected President Obama, as recounted in their book “Good Faith .THE MEETING TOOK PLACE in the oval office with the three self appointed leaders offering to persuade more Christians to get on board with the Obama administrations policies and global ideals. Calling themselves and others who buy in to the “common good” ideology” Christians of Good Faith” , these partners promised results and they are still working to deliver and make good on those promises in the 2020 election cycle . The 2016 retreading of theses “Counterculture ” and “Confident Pluralism” of TGC discussions can be seen here :
“Kinnaman is the president of Barna Group, a leading research company, and Lyons is the founder of Q, a TED-style learning community that educates and mobilizes Christians for the good of society. Together they contend that “holding tight to biblical conviction is not only worthwhile and critical but also absolutely doable” for Christians in our pluralistic society” ….Their conclusion is refreshingly optimistic considering the bleak portrait they initially paint. Based on thousands of interviews they conducted, Kinnaman and Lyons report a growing number of U.S. adults perceive Christianity to be irrelevant and extreme. Whereas most U.S. adults once shared a moral center with Christianity, the dominant culture now follows a new moral code of self-fulfillment.”
PAY ATTENTION HERE–
The next carefully phrased narrative might be considered the mantra of the TGC and Kinnaman/ Keller style efforts :
“If Christians in America—not just individually, but in community—took this pattern seriously, the American church would become “a counterculture for the common good”, This isn’t your father’s moral-majority version of counterculture. “
CHRISTIAN LEADERS FEEDING REBELLION
TGC, Kinnaman, Keller and Lyons love to play on the angst of young people and feed their rebellion against their parents values and political convictions. These are powerful forces for in deceptive work of “social change”.
The hard sell never ends as they assert -“Good Faith contains a timely message that demands careful consideration from evangelicals everywhere.”

Lets move on
LAUSANNE MOVEMENT AND IMBs NEW VISION
Casting the Global and Urbanization vision for the IMB event is Lausanne Movement leader Samuel Chiang and also Globalist Baptist Rick Warren of the notorious PEACE PLAN AND UNITED NATIONS GLOBAL HEALTH INITIATIVE. Warren also partners with globalist funding like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
“He ( Chiang) has also authored book chapters in diverse genres including innovation, orality, and persecution. Formerly the Chief Operating Officer of TWR, currently he is the Catalyst for Orality and he also serves on the Strategy Working Group”
Samuel has recently become a favorite of Baptist global compromiser /Warren Lausanne partner Ed Stetzer and the progressive leadership at Christianity Today.
Chiang is part of the “Generosity Movement” for which Lausanne and it’s fair haired favorites like Tim Keller/ Ed Stetzer have come center stage to feature “planned giving ” and “generosity” in the coming “death tsunami” of baby boomers where an estimated $50 plus Trillion (with a T) will change hands in what is set to be the “largest transfer of wealth in human history”. Chiang contributes to the movements “generosity stories “.
WARREN’S GLOBAL REACH
“Dr. Rick Warren is an innovative pastor, renowned author, and global influencer. He has helped people live with hope and on purpose for more than 40 years. Rick is the founding pastor of Saddleback Church in Southern California with campuses in major cities around the world. He is the author of The Purpose Driven Life, which has been translated into 74 languages and sold more than 50 million copies in all formats. Rick also founded The PEACE Plan to address five global issues—spiritual emptiness, self-serving leadership, poverty, disease, and illiteracy—through the power of ordinary people in the local church.”
Warren is fact a key player in these global deceptions as has been well documented for many years. His PEACE PLAN is attributed to his unsaved mentor /socialist Peter Drucker and mentor Bob Buford who was a great admirer of Lenin for his “Centralized Planning”.
MORE ON THE GENEROSITY MOVEMENT
The Global Generosity Network and Kingdom Life Publishing have partnered to launch the writing and publication of Christ-Centered Generosity. The purpose of the book is to be a primary resource for the global movement of biblical generosity.”
THE PROBLEM WITH LAUSANNE AND GLOBAL GENEROSITY IS THE WEALTH OF CHRISTIANS WILL GO TO ESTABLISHING THE GLOBAL GOALS OF THE UNITED NATIONS.
“The Global Generosity Network (GGN) is a joint initiative between the Lausanne Movement and the World Evangelical Alliance to encourage evangelical Christians to better stewards of their resources, live more generously and give more of their income to Kingdom causes where it is most needed.”
“The GGN challenges the global Church towards whole-life discipleship that includes radical generosity and wise stewardship. The GGN believes that such generosity will result in a dramatic increase in giving to Christian causes and especially to global mission where it is most needed.”
LAUSANNE AND GLOBAL SUSTAINABILITY GOALS
Below are the United Nations Global Sustainability Goals fueled by the progressive agendas like global warming, population reduction, and global equity. This far left global political agenda is also known as Agenda 2030 (Formerly known as Agenda 21). Make no mistake these goals are in no way in step with the Gospel of .No doubt IMB will assert that their vision casting is in full step with the Great Commission of Jesus delivered to the Church. If so then why choose such partners to cast the vision?
Lausanne and Global Goals.
BY PARTNERING WITH KEY LAUSANNE LEADERS IN VISION CASTING FOR GEN Z MEANS IMB IS LINKING ITS NEW VISION TO THE GLOBAL GOALS IN THE NAME OF “THE GREAT COMMISSION”
NOTE: LAUSANNE IS EXPERT AT MAKING THEIR PARTNERING WITH UN GLOBAL GOALS SOUND LIKE IT IS A GOSPEL MISSION :
“Have you understood all these things [in the lessons of the parables]?’ They said to Jesus, ‘Yes’. He said to them, ‘Therefore every scribe who has become a disciple of the kingdom of heaven is like the head of a household, who brings out of his treasure things that are new and fresh and things that are old and familiar’ (Matt 13:51-52 Amplified).
“Life in our precarious, often perilous, yet precious world is tough. As people of faith or of no particular faith, we are all subject to the maims and moans of fallen creation. At the same time, we as believers are called to rest in Christ’s reconciliation and renewal of all things in heaven and earth (Col 1:20). And we await and yearn for our full adoption as the children of God (Rom 8:18-25).”
“For the last ten years we have been working increasingly across sectors (humanitarian, health, development, United Nations) as psychologists in mission. Central to our work has been a simple, strategic framework which we call Global Integration (GI).”
“GI is a framework for engaging actively and responsibly with our world, locally through globally, for God’s glory. We seek to ‘integrate’ our lives by connecting relationally and contributing relevantly on behalf of human wellbeing and the issues facing humanity, finding common ground for the common good, linking new and old ‘treasures’ (resources and directions) for sharing the good news and our good works, and doing so in light of our integrity, commitments, and core values (eg ethical, humanitarian, human rights, faith-based). GI is thus a mindset and a skillset, a perspective and a practice, for how we live and work in our world as followers of Christ.”
LAUSANNE OWNING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AS “HUMANITY CARE “
“There is huge effort underway, spearheaded by the United Nations and many international organizations, to promote sustainable development and wellbeing for all people. This effort calls upon the world community to change its course drastically and to partner intentionally and accountably in working towards peace, justice, prosperity, and the protection of the planet. As Christians, we have an unprecedented opportunity to get involved globally and to partner with others in such efforts—what we call ‘humanity care’.”
WHAT LAUSANNE AND NOW IMB WANTS TO DO IS TO HELP MAKE YOUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN IN U N “GLOBAL CITIZENS”.
“Global Citizens. For more information see the Global Integration Update (June 2016) on Global Citizenship, featuring the UN Conference, Education for Global Citizenship and the resulting Gyeongju Action Plan. Kelly was privileged to attend this conference in Korea and to join with many others from Civil Society to give input on the Action Plan. “
YOU SHOULD BE.
BETWEEN TGC / LIFEWAY CURRICULUM AND NOW IMB VISION CASTING, A GENERATION IS IN PERIL OF HAVING THEIR FAITH TURNED INTO CAPTIVES OF GLOBAL GOALS DECEPTION AND BUILDING THE KINGDOM OF ANTI CHRIST IN THE NAME OF SERVING GOD AND MAN.
OTHER SPEAKERS INCLUDE TGC /SOCIAL JUSTICE /DIVERSITY AND PROGRESSIVE POLITICAL LEADERS.
EXAMPLE OF OTHER SPEAKERS COMPROMISE
AUTHOR AND BIBLE TEACHER
“Jen Wilkin is an author and Bible teacher from Dallas, Texas. She has organized and led studies for women in home, church, and parachurch contexts.”
Jen Wilken is in fact a favorite women’s speaker and author for Tim Keller’s progressive globalist TGC and is a member of TGC /ACTS 29 leader Matt Chandler’s Village Church in Texas. Chandler is a rabid social justice advocate and regularly condemns fellow Baptist for the “White Privilege “.
LEAD PASTOR, BLUEPRINT CHURCH
Dahati Lewis works for Send Network which is part of another Baptist entity the home missions group known as The North American Mission Board or NAMB .Lewis has used his position as leader of Church Planting to flood the progressive social justice agenda, “wed” with asserted “Biblical Values” through he and his brothers involvement with the left wing & Campaign .& Campaign is led by executive directors from the heart of the Democratic Party and the Obama Foundation along with many of Keller’s young TGC leaders whose churches are funded by NAMB Send Network. In Fact Lewis helped launch & Campaign in his own Baptist funded “Blueprint Church” in Atlanta in 2017.
& Campaign also promises to “disrupt the 2020 Presidential Election” and helps promote Black Lives Matter involvement, LGBTQ compromise called “Fairness for All”, Immigration Reform favoring Islamic expansion, prison and justice reform through the lens of BLM style racial injustice, and a host of other progressive political causes. What it does not do is include any Biblical conservatives who reject the false social gospel of these global political forces. Tim Keller himself recently joined the & Campaign as an “elder” advising the group but soon disappeared from the elder board website listing after controversy surrounding it arose.
“As church membership, missionary-pipelines, and giving streams decline, we feel compelled to be more informed about the changing perception of missions around the world, and to search for new solutions to increase engagement with future generations so that we can all step in to the future of missions together. One way we can better engage with Southern Baptists is to gather more frequently around topics that are relevant, interesting, and actionable. We need more people to understand the weight and the urgency of the global, cultural, and spiritual realities of our world. I hope that you’ll join us on October 29th at 7pm EDT.”
— Dr. Paul Chitwood, IMB President”
Please do NOT join IMB and do not let your children to be taken in to a vision casting effort that would include partners who wish to make your children into global citizens and who accept the Global Sustainability Goals/ Agenda 2030 as Gospel mission. Please teach your children and grandchildren the Word of God and to discern the times BECAUSE clearly International Missions Board leaders are not discerning the difference between global goals and the Gospel.
These partners are very problematic on every level.
