animals on noahs ark

it is not a ? of how many species or kinds that makes this story un plausable albeit an interesting story. But there are 3 things that are never addressed . 1. how did you feed the carnivorous animals "meat eaters " as they would eat the other animals eliminating them. 2. where did the excrement "waste" go ? when there was only but one window on the ark and its size appeared very small not to mention all the work involved in removing the waste. it takes whole crews with modern equipment to clean out and feed all but a very small portion of animals in a zoo let alone 2 of every kind on an ark. 3. and possibily the most often overlooked one is this if assuming dionosaurs were not extinct and saved by god along with normal animals ,they would have consumed a huge amount of food ... but the real trick is what did they eat once they left the ark ? ie if a t rex or a velicaraptor ate a gazzel or deer even 1 of them as this is what meat eaters do then that species is gone -EXTINCT ,now you do not need a scientific degree to understand that just common sense ... so once two meat eaters ate a deer or another plant eater its gone extinct ... nice story the ark makes but its just that a story a descriotion of how god would display his love ,owe and here is another often overlooked thing ,today the majority of great hunters are not only white but christian and find great joy and sport in killing the very creatures that god saved on the ark just look at the great sarah palin governor of Alaska placing a $150 bounty on wolves to be hunted by planes because they may effect other huntable game animals and revenue made from them so its all about $$$ captilism at its best long live the christian religion we will allow god to save animals so we can latter kill them off and have all kinds of excuses for doing so like protecting our income ... and about 80% of all hunters claim to be so called christian ... how messed up ....why save animals so we can kill them . let alone how they did not make themselves extinct from eating right after leaving the ark.

MEN CLAIM MANY THINGS
Posted On: 07/16/08 10:00:27 AM Age 64, OH
Many men claim to follow the Holy Spirit but do not. That is no excuse for us to disobey The Lord Jesus who tells us that the sons of God are those who follow the Spirit. Many men claim to believe the Holy Scriptures and then murder in the Name of our dear Lord. That is no reason to disrespect the Holy Scriptures. Many men claim to be called of God to preach in the church and then preach lies. That is no reason to say that God has not called men to preach Jesus Christ crucified. But other men follow the Bible instead of it's Author and that is idolatry. Other men follow the church or a men who claims to have The Word of The Lord and that is idolatry also. Many men follow doctrine and no man will be saved by any belief but only by the blood of The Lamb. We are His sheep and we know His voice. To follow ones own desires is making one's self an idol and leads to death. If we give our life to the Lord of Mercy and Grace, He is willing and able to take our lives and will hold them in His hand. My life is not my own. My only duty is to follow Jesus wherever He leads. But it is the scriptures themselves that show that the YEC is not according to scripture. "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" Look up into the heavens and you see the sun as part of the heavens that God created in the beginning as He so clearly says. Lou

We don't need teachers???
Posted On: 06/26/08 12:31:06 PM Age 58, AR
Lou, I hope all is well with you today. I was in a bible study with this young lady, who is a charasmatic, who obviously follows feelings rather than fact. She made the same comment you made, not to say you are a charasmatic, or that you follow your feelings rather fact, but she said that she didn't need men to teach her, she had the Holy Spirit. I wonder why she was at the study? If God didn't work through men, which are the churches hands and feet, we would all be learning heresy probably. We wouldn't be on the same page theologically. We would all have different views of the bible. Wow, how confusing that would be! Wait, we do all have different beliefs. I would not be able to have unity or fellowship with another Christian if they believed heresy, sorry! Not that you're speaking heresy. Thanks!

HOW MANY MEANINGS ARE THERE OF THE WORD DAY
Posted On: 04/05/08 04:10:06 PM Age 64, OH
Your whole focus of Genesis 1 is time or the temporal. Yet God tells in 2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. We are told not too look at what we can see with our eyes and the temporal but we are told to look at what is unseen and the eternal. Genesis 1 is the most important scripture in the Bible. Do you think God would focus on time. gen 1 is not about time but it is about the One and only true God who created everything that exists. Then it goes on to tell us that God prepared a place for us. You say it is all about earth days, seven earth day. But the earth day is from morning to morning or the evening to evening. But the first day is from evening to morning and can not be an earth day. The 7th day starts at the morning at the end of the 6th day. But there is no evening or another morning mentioned; so the 7th day did not end at all. How could that be a 24 hour day. Lou

THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS BEEN MY TEACHER
Posted On: 04/05/08 01:26:04 PM Age 64, OH
You ask, What background do you have in hermeneutics and hebrew or greek? - I do not think it is important to ask me what I have studied in school any more than it is to ask where I went to school. There is only one important question to ask and that is who was my teacher. I read Genesis 1 when I was young and had many questions about it. I asked many men about it and none of them could answer my questions just as you can not. I gave my life to my Creator and He filled me with His Holy Spirit and I asked Him about these things. He has been trying to show me the truth and He has never repented once. My biggest thing to overcome was the false teachings of tradition on Gen 1. I have not learned any of these things from men but I have listened to the Holy Spirit and He has shown me these things and then confirmed every thing He spoke by showing me many witnesses in the scriptures. Re: Evolution or no evolution
Posted On: 04/05/08 01:00:55 AM Age 15, KY
You were saying you heard him speak against evolution, but then he said that these wolves evolved. Are you aware that there are two types of evolution-macro and micro? Macro evolution is the kind of evolution Darwin theorized about-different species evolving into new species. Micro evolution deals with changes inside a species, like he was talking about with the wolves. And you said, “But it seems that you believe in whatever science that supports your views and disbelieve any science that does not support your views.” As Christians, we must do that in a sense. If someone finds a new scientific discovery that absolutely contradicts the Bible, we must assume that they are wrong on the basis that it doesn’t match up with God’s Word. God’s Word should be our foundation. It is completely inerrant, while scientists are always finding new discoveries and changing things. When everyone believed the earth was flat, the Bible said it was a sphere (Isa. 40:22). When everyone thought air was weightless, the Bible said it had weight (Job 28:25). Luckily for us, though, our God has proven Himself time and time again through His creation. Much of science supports the Bible, and the science that doesn’t is wrong. Remember, scientific observations are made by men, while the Bible was written by the Lord Almighty. By the way, I really liked your sun/moon analogy. There are so many ways to demonstrate the way God contrasts us, yet none of them are sufficient for truly explaining it. John Piper said that the size of the cosmos in comparison to us is a parable of how big God is compared to us. The book of Job says “If even the moon does not shine and the stars are not pure in His sight, how much less man, who is a maggot”.

Vegetarian animals
Posted On: 04/05/08 12:35:59 AM Age 15, KY
I’m not so sure that the animals were vegetarian before the flood. Yes, the green plants were given for food in Genesis 1, but that was also before the Fall. We can’t even imagine how drastically different the world was back then. Without the effects of sin, there were no diseases, no harmful things, and most importantly, no death. Sin affects our world so much that creation itself groans (Rom. 8). But because there was no death, animals would not have been a food source for other animals. That’s why Adam and Eve could live among them-because they were tame. When sin entered the world some of them became malicious. I don’t know if it happened suddenly or over a period of time, but it happened, because look at some of the animals today. So therefore, by the time of the Flood, I’m assuming more and more of the animals were becoming carnivorous. This is just a theory. If anyone disagrees, or wants to add scientific evidence to it, please feel free to do so. God bless.

Time
Posted On: 04/04/08 08:48:54 AM Age 47, MO
Friend: Time started in day four, so how do you suppose that days were 24 hours prior to the start of time? Not to mention that light (day) is energy and darkness (night) is lack of energy. God created by the power of His word going forth as energy, He didn't create as "poof" there it is. So after He spoke it took "time" for creation to materialize. How much time, no one can say nor can I understand, but it doesn't harm the Gospel if it was many years or a few days. The truth of Scripture transends our understanding and our language. John

Hilarious. That is, it would be if so many people didn't take it so seriously, or so literally.

Believing Genesis
Posted On: 04/03/08 02:43:26 PM Age 55, OK
Dogmatic statements, like "Genesis 1 is not about time at all" - require accurate biblical support. What background do you have in hermeneutics and hebrew or greek? If we want to understand what Scripture is saying then we have to study it carefully and properly as the NT exhorts us (study to show yourselves approved...). Yes, day has more than one meaning. But the rules of Hebrew grammar determine which meaning applies. Genesis one speaks of six, literal 24 hour days, as reinforced in Exodus explaining why God created a week of seven days. It's not enough to know what terms can mean; we need to understand what they do mean in context. Those who are enlightened by the Holy Spirit will understand and humbly submit their opinion to the Word of the Creator and Savior.
