Re: Work or Welfare, God or Government, Moral Law or Marshall Low

I remember the time in '02 when I had been jumping through the Governmental Welfare hoops for almost 3 years and it had come down to doing what I knew God told me to do or jumping through that next hoop to stay in the system for a couple more months to serve "man". I choose God!
It all started when I was in limbo with God. I wanted to change my life style, but I wasn't letting God change my life style. Finally I hit bottom and gave my WHOLE life to Christ...Then 2 weeks later I found out that my contract at the Post Office wasn't renewed; I lost my job. 2 weeks after that I found out I was pregnant, I lost my Great Grandma, and my roommate didn't have their share of the rent that was due in 5 days!
That was how I got into the system! The father disappeared! My roommate moved out! And I collected unemployment. I sent out resumes and put in applications. Nobody wanted to hire me because I had horrible credit and I was pregnant! So after the unemployment ran out the Welfare kicked in.
I hurt my back after I had the baby and entered into physical therapy. Then I had to find a job. Nobody wanted to hire me because I had physical limitations, bad credit, and didn't have day care arrangments set up! I couldn't set up day care with Welfare until I had a job! It was one hurtle after another.
I sold and pawned items so that I could buy diapers & gas to get to church. In the mean time I volunteered at a food & cloth ministry so that I had clothes and toiletries for us. The Lord stayed with me and showed me what to do, but there came a time when it was time for HIS will instead of theirs.
Then came the day I was due to go to the Welfare office for another "training" assignment. I parked the car. I sat there and all I could hear were the words. "Do you want MY will or man's?" I answered "Yours!" and I drove off never looking back!
One month after that, God brought my husband into my life. It was true love from God! We were married in Aug. '02. He adopted my daughter and we have 2 boys and a baby on the way! And the best part...I get to do what God told me to do in the first place; stay home and school our children in the ways of the LORD!

You say it perfectly dear one. I want to say so much to you that I can't think of just what to say. The liberal left democrat socialists who want redistribution of wealth so badly, are out to keep all my dear black sisters and brothers down and yet they lie to them pretending they want to help them. They must have a two class society--lower and high classes--therefore, we know who they have to keep down. You have read well between the lines and have had wonderful courage and bravery to stand and speak out and I am incredibly proud you are my sister in Christ!!!! Love you much, in Him.

Bravo!!! You go, girl. I hope that countless more will hear your message and that hearts and minds will be forever changed. But most of all... I sincerely pray that your voice will somehow reach and connect with those who most desperately need to hear it. Because it is so tragic... the amount of pain and suffering that so many people can inflict on themselves. Keep it up, Star, and may the Good Lord truly be with you. In Him, scott.

It's always a great time when those who can work do so instead of staying on govt.
subsistance. Of course, there is no choice today as one can only stay on welfare for a limited amount of time.
We must remember that it's always better to teach someone to fish so they can catch their own. However, we need to make sure there are fish for them to catch or it won't work.
