Re: Embracing the God-given Ministry of False Prophets
Posted On: 07/21/06 09:50:44 AM Age 57, UK
This is an interesting approach to the role of the false prophet and I tend to agree with it. However, I don't think a false prophet is raised up for the purposes of him being saved - that might be a mistaken believer who can be corrected or even an unbeliever yet to be saved. But the way I read Galatians 1.9 "As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed" the false prophet is as accursed as the Pharisees. But it has helped me to see false prophets as a filter and encourages me that, although surrounded by apostate "churches" here in the UK, our little band has been brought together as a result of the activities of false prophets (not that we should thank them. Yes its a good way to look at it. Thanks
