I think it would be absolutely great to see that Noah's ark had been found!! It puts acutal pictures to my faith that I have believed for so long! It can also quiet the sceptic and maybe even convince them that God is Who He says He is!! It's exciting to think about and I hope to hear that the expediction can continue to clarify the finding and prove that it really is Noah's Ark!

I JUST LEARNED ABOUT THE POSSIBLE FINDING OF THE ARK ON MY LOCAL CHRISTIAN RADIO STATION TODAY. SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL THERE HAVE BEEN MANY SEARCHING FOR THE ARK. I FIND THIS DISCOVERY VERY COMPELLING AND POSSIBLE. UPON READING THIS PARTICULAR POSTING I FEEL ONLY SADNESS FOR THE PERSON THAT WROTE IT. PEOPLE HAVE ALWAYS TRIED TO EXPLAIN AWAY THINGS WITH DEEP SCIENTIFIC POSSIBILITIES. I FOR ONE BELIEVE IN FAITH. EVEN IF IT IS A BIG LEAP. WHY CAN'T THE ARK AND FLOOD HAVE HAPPENED JUST LIKE THE BIBLE SAYS? SOME THINGS ARE JUST WHAT THEY SAY THEY ARE. WHETHER OR NOT THIS IS THE ACTUAL ARK I BELIEVE IT HAPPENED, EXSISTED SIMPLY BECAUSE GOD MADE IT SO. PLEASE TRY NOT TO DOUBT SO MUCH. JUST ACCEPT AND THE PEACE OF GOD WILL MAKE THE TRUTH KNOWN

I think Christians in general need to not think, "oh people are going to worship the ark", or "Oh your not really saved if you let the discovery of the ark validate your christianity", and worry about things like this.
First off, it's exciting to think that we've found yet another artifact to blow the evolutionist out of the water! If God didn't want it to be found, it wouldn't be. This could definitley lead more people to the Lord. Maybe those teddering on what they believe, will come back over the fence! Those who have went to secular colleges and their minds made to mush regarding creation and evolution, this will bring them back to reality. God is coming soon people!! If this discovery helps convince someone or REMIND someone, and they get saved, how AWESOME is this discovery? Another soul saved from the pits.
The ark of the convenant did disappear. And if God wanted that found, it would be as well. I think that we as Christians, need to stick together and support them. This could really rock some peoples worlds. And in an AWESOME way.

This is fascinating! The Bible says the ark landed in the mountains of Ararat. But when Moses wrote that, how large of an area did these mountains cover? I have read where ancient Ararat was referred to as UTURAH and expanded well beyond the conventional siting of the ark on Mt. Ararat in Turkey, and into the mountain range just south of the Caspian sea in Iran. It seems to me that discovering what Moses ment by "the mountains of Ararat" could be an important factor.
In any event, the remains of the ark do exist and if for no other reason, I believe it because the word of God records it. That settles it:-)

It's Possable. But i woulden't jump up and down just yet. More research is needed, data collected. Scans done to look at what lay
below the rock, to size it up. To make a good
comfermation.

I suspect that searching for the original ark is a lost cause, because the event that inspired the story (which pre-dates the Bible -- see "The Epic of Gilgamesh") took place much too long ago for a wooden structure to survive. I think the best guess is 74,000 years ago, because that is when the Toba supervolcano in Indonesia erupted and came close to exterminating the entire human race. Genetic evidence indicates a human "population bottleneck" at exactly that same time, when all but a thousand or two humans perished. The traumatic story, retold for thousands of years, may have lost track of whether the catastrophe involved a rain of water or a rain of ash. You may be inclined at first to dismiss this theory, but it does solve several difficult problems in interpreting the Bible story. For example, if the "Toba catastrophe" theory is true, then the Biblical Flood really was worldwide (not just in the Middle East as some have suggested for a flood of water). Forty days of water rain could hardly flood much of the earth up to the mountaintops, but a huge supervolcano could easily erupt continuously for 40 days with lethal results almost everywhere, at every elevation. And Noah's ark could have been quite large because it didn't have to float -- it just had to provide shelter from an extended period of volcanic ash fall for some people and a lot of their domesticated animals. So if Noah's ark ever is found, it may be under about 10 feet of volcanic ash somewhere.

I believe the evidence is overwhelming. I also believe that this is God's final warning to mankind. It is time for Christians to wake up, Jesus is coming soon. What further evidence do we need? Let us cast off the unfruitful works of darkness, namely believing in mindless and godless evolution, and start believing in what the Word says. It is time to start looking at the first eleven chapters of Genesis as true history, not myth.

The Word says, "and the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the water covers the sea." (Hab 2:14) Many Christians believe that we are in that time of the knowledge of the glory, right now.
How fitting that Noah's ark would finally be found now, when knowledge of the glory of the Lord is being poured out.
Could this be the beginning of many wonders about to take place on planet earth to assist in the great harvest of souls?
God's timing is always right on & marvelous.
I,for one, hope this is THE ark. But if it is, brace yourselves for the storm of controversy that will inevitably ensue.

If dinosaurs existed years before humans, they would have had to die. But it was the sin of Adam and Eve that brought death into the world. Face it, humans and dinosaurs existed side-by-side!

In Genesis 10, it talks about the world being divided. Maybe in the time of Noah, all the continents were connected?
Genesis 10:25 "Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his time the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.

You are probably referring to the sighting by Ed Davis. I recommend Bob Cornuke's book, Ark Fever, which describes Dr. Cornuke's reliance on Ed Davis' story. Ark Fever was written after Cornuke's 2005 visit to Iran.
An earlier posting below also references another author who told Ed Davis story.

yeh i remember a movie clip, some pictures of an ark with a russian soldier standing in front of it, or it could of been a pakistani, anyway it appeared to be a documentary on noah's ark, it showed that a team had found the ark and took pictures of it, but a patrol of men had confiscated the pictures and burned them. seemed to be a black and white video. never seen it advertised again. spark
