By the way, the Christmas story ISN'T in Matthew, it's in the Gospel of Luke, chapter 2. (at least the one that everyone I know considers the Christmas story)

Unfortunatly, Dr. Kroll has reason for concern. If America read the Bible as much as it watches tv, we would not have all the problems we are having now with drugs, violence, sexual promiscuity, etc. I'm grateful to belong to a church where our pastor is encouraging us to read the Bible in 1-2 years and teaches us directly from God's word. I'm thankful for BSF which I attended for 7 years and grew to know and love God through a disciplined Bible study.

Woodrow Kroll is right on the money. And I'm sad to say that I am one of those people. I consider myself a Christian, but do not read my bible on a regualar basis, nor do I know much about it.

Peace be to you in Lord Jesus'Name.I just read your article and found it to be right on the mark. The majority of Americans claim to be Christian and that we live in a Christian Nation.Sadly,we as a nation do not bear fruits of that.Taking on the name "Christian" seems to be a popular thing:just a way to fit into a particuliar group. Our God is a loving God,full of compassion and mercy, and doesn't want anybody to perish. However, our nation is steeped in sin and God will not tolerate that. The Bible says to be hot or cold, not lukewarm. The book of Revolation says that Christ will spew you out of his mouth if you are.The recent events of Sept 11 and same-sex mariages prove we have truly fallen short of God's call as Christians.Peace to you Mr Knoll for speaking the truth
