Words of Men are Not the Words of God
Posted On: 09/09/09 07:55:31 AM Age 47, GA
Also after much study, I come to believe that I was also mislead as a youth. Reading the very words of Christ "the tares will be removed first". He stated that if you do not understand this one thing you will not understand anything. The parable of the sower. the tares are the children of the evil one. So why are christians not taught the words of Christ but the words of men.

THE REVELATION STARTED IN GENESIS 1:1
Posted On: 09/01/09 04:42:30 PM Age 65, OH
The book of Revelation is NOT about the future or even about time at all. It is as the title says, The Revelation of The Lord Jesus Christ. John makes this very clear when he says, Grace and peace to you from him WHO IS, AND WHO WAS, AND WHO IS TO COME,(Rev 1:4) - The revelation of The Lord Jesus in NOT only in the future but was also in the present and the past. When did the Lord start to reveal Himself. IN THE BEGINNING. Did not the creation reveal His Glory to all. Jesus started to reveal Himself in the beginning and will continue to reveal Himself right up to His return when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord. This error causes most men to misread The Revelation. The other thing that causes much error in interpreting The Revelation is this fact; it is the same story told over three times. You can tell when each story is told over WHEN THE PERSPECTIVE or the viewpoint changes. The 1st perspective (Chapter 4:1)is as seen by John in heaven looking down on "all the inhabitants of the earth". This is what happens to everyone who lives in the world as seen from heaven. - The 2nd perspective is as seen by John from earth that happens to the believers.(Chapter 12) - The 3rd perspective is what happens to Babylon the Great or the false church. We know that Babylon the Great is not the natural city of Babylon for that city was not the greatest Babylon. Babylon the Great covers the whole earth or a greater Babylon could come later. Babylon the Great is not of the mere natural realm but of the greater spiritual realm. Babylon the Great in the false church and not a mere pagan religion. We know this because Babylon the Great claims to be married to Christ, because the Lord calls her an adulteress. Also Jesus tells His people to come out of her. His people are not part of pagan religions, but do join churches that CLAIM to serve Jesus but do not. We are told by Jesus to seek 1st the Kingdom and we are told not to seek the future. Jesus reveals a little of the future to some who do not seek the future, but seek Him. In my very short and puny life, I have found that when Jesus does tell me something of the future, when the future arrives, I am still very surprised. I can look back on what Jesus revealed to me in the past and His words were so true, but my understanding of His words was so little. - Lou Newton

WAR, FAMINE, AND DEATH CAME IN THE GARDEN
Posted On: 09/01/09 01:33:07 PM Age 65, OH
George, you are correct in saying that there is only one war, but many battles. Many men have claimed to know the future and have prophesied many things, but time has not been kind to their claims. Many speak of the four horsemen in The Revelation and say they will come in the future. But we can read this in Genesis: 8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?" (HERE WE HAVE THE RIDER ON THE WHITE HORSE WHO RODE OUT OF HEAVEN WEARING A CROWN AND CAME TO WIN BACK MAN FROM SATAN) 10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid." 11 And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?" 12 The man said, "The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." 13 Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." 14 So the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, "Cursed are you above all the livestock and all the wild animals! You will crawl on your belly ( DEATH AND DISEASE OR THE PALE HORSE) and you will eat dust all the days of your life.( FAMINE OR THE BLACK HORSE) 15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman,(WAR OR THE RED HORSE) and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." 16 To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing;(DISEASE) with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband,(FAMINE) and he will rule over you."(WAR) 17 To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.(WAR) 18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you,(FAMINE) and you will eat the plants of the field. 19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return." (DEATH THE FINAL DISEASE) - The four horsemen came in the garden and we have had WAR, FAMINE AND DISEASE or DEATH EVER SINCE THAT TIME. War, famine, and death will continue until The Lord Jesus returns. Christians have died unto themselves and have eternal life in the Spirit, but do not we still die a physical death. - Lou Newton

One war, many battles

In Revelation 12:13-17, we should see a picture of Satan who has failed to defeat Christ, but continues his attack upon the Church. However, the Lord protects His people "away from the face of the serpent": that is to say, away from Satan's most direct and deadly attack. The devil cannot destroy the true Church. The evil one tries t engulf the Church with a stream of lies and delusions (water which he pours from his mouth). A time, and times, and half a time is a period during which God's people are nourished with the manna of the Word, and they enjoy a certain amount of security on earth. It is the same period of time that the two witnesses of Revelation Chapter eleven prophesy. This is followed by a much briefer time span of 3 days and a half, during which the witnesses (the true Church) are killed. This is the Battle of Armagedon. This short period is followed by the judgment day. It is the one and same battle as Gog and Magog of Revelation 20. "Time, and times, and half a time" begins at the moment of Christ's first coming, and extends to a point of time very near to His second coming unto judgment. In this long period, the Church is nourished "away from the serpent" so that Satan is restrained (in Revelation 20, we see the "bound"). Actually, in all of the Holy Scriptures, there are many battles, but only one war: that war between the righteous will of God, and the evil of Satan. All the literal flesh and blood battles of the Old Testament have this spiritual side to them. "For we wrestle no against flesh and blood, but against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12). George Cancilla

Rapture

I believe in the post rapture. When I was a younger Christian I was gun hoe for the rapture to escape the coming judgement. The older I get and the more I study I can't see us escaping "this world" but remain here to be a witness until the end.
