Insurance companies are like gambling casinos. They are betting that they will take in more than they have to pay out, and they usually "stack the deck" by denying coverage to many who have pre existing conditions or age limitations. There is no real value added when money changes hands in this way. The real value of health care (or any product or service for that matter) is measured by what cost the user will bear. If a person wants to save money for potential health care costs, they should do so by putting that money into their own private investment account. Certainly health care costs are personal, not collective, and as such have no place in government. How can we legitimately hold someone else responsible for our health? George Cancilla
