I think your taking a real long shot at Mr. Hybels... "far more destructive than Bill Ayers, or any of the Fabian socialists have done.".. You'll have to talk that one over with God someday, that is quite an accusation. I believe that Bill is trying his best to help people into the Kingdom of God. He is not a saint, nor is he perfect and clearly he makes some duzzies. I know that I do... I'm just not on the level where he is, so my duzzies aren't seen by thousands of thousands of people. The seminar really was very good. When I see men make an effort for Gods Kingdom I know they are still men. They make errors, sometimes big ones.. Yes... Bono and Tony were interviewed. Very very outragously poor choices, but I didn't let that take anything away from me that would be a blessing, an encouragement that God wanted me to have. When I left I did clearly feel encouraged to help in the work of God. I went in as a sour skeptical critic... and came out with a bit more focus, training and zeal for the Lord. I don't want to be a critic anymore. Being a critic doesn't help anyone get into the kingdom. I don't want to be a know it all finger pointer. I prefer to work with the sinners who are in there day after day trying to win souls to Jesus. Jesus's name was clearly lifted up. I know people also have trouble with some of Bills theology... Tell me who's theology is perfect! Who? Get to work, God will be here soon, and you know it. Purvis

Bill Hybels or Bill Ayers

I believe that what Bill Hybels has done in the name of Christ has been far more destructive than what Bill Ayers, or any of the Fabian socialists have done. The Scriptures say "a friend of the world is not a friend of God." At least the Marxists don't pretend to be a friend of God. Trying to draw people into the churches by putting up famous icons like Blair and Bono, is no replacement for the teaching of the Gospel of Christ crucified. George Cancilla
