It sounds like someone hasn't read their bible...Jesus did a lot of condemming.
Mat 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Mat 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Mat 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
Mat 23:16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
Mat 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
Mat 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Todd missed out on the main reason fundamentalist are call Exclusive, Intolerant and Judgmental; when they get involved in politics and try to legislate that everyone else be forced to follow their religious rules. What you believe is fine with me (I'm tolerant). When you say anyone who votes differently from you isnt a Christian, thats Judgmental. When you say only heterosexuals are entitled to full legal and human rights, thats Exclusive. Most varieties of religion are exclusive, intolerant and judgmental. Thats fine, but when you try to apply that to our pluralistic society, thats Intolerant.

I had to print this one out for my teenage boys to read. They come home from school wearing buttons on their shirts telling people to accept homosexual students. They are not homosexuals, they keep telling me because I am strongly in disagreement with accepting it as a legitimate lifestyle I am judgemental and intolerant. They keep telling me that Jesus was tolerant because he ate with prostitutes and other sinners, that He was accepting of those people just the way they were. This article will help me clarify to them the nuances of these words and what I have really been trying to explain. It starts with a change of heart.

Enjoyed your post. You were talking about Christianity being inclusive. I think if you walk down that road a little farther you will see why Todd goes the other way.
If I say I am inclusive then Joe Smith says "ok I want into heaven". However, he doesn't accept Jesus' sacrifice, stays in the same immoral state that he is in. Now you tell Joe that he can't get in to Heaven. "What!", he says "you told me you are inclusive. Now you won't let me in because I didn't do what you told me to. You are being exclusive!" See what I mean? I agree with you that the invitation in a sense is inclusive, but in practicality it is exclusive.
As soon as you say that not everyone will get into heaven you have made it "exclusive". In other words, if I don't want to live for Jesus and accept His sacrifice I should still get into heaven under an inclusive offer. Of course, that is not the case.
Hope that helps.

Todd,
Don't forget "I am offended."
"I am offended" is secular double speak for censorship. "I am offended," is used whenever someone wants to silence debate or be judgmental while sounding openminded.
"I am offended," means "I am intolerant."
Learn to use these three words on secularists and watch their blood pressure rise.
God speed bud.

The whole point of Todd's post was that people resort to name calling. Oddly enough the first comment ranges in "bad names" from "liberal" "playground bullies" and "infantile" The point is, be bigger than the names. I don't agree fully with Todd's post, but I think that the name calling in this first comment is exactly opposite of his point.
I believe when Jesus said he came to save the world, that he was actually being inclusive, offering it to all. Just because one doesn't accept an invitation, it doesn't mean they weren't invited, thus ruling out exclusiveness of Christ.
Christians are to be filled with love and acceptance of people, not always agreeing but loving. That would rule out intolerant.
And I don't see Jesus taking a whole lot of time criticizing people that were not already followers of some religion. He always spoke love and truth to people with no affiliation. Showing them the difference between the religious bigots of the day and Jesus... the revolutionary movement.

Right on Todd. The liberals that resort to name calling from the people who scream intolerant, racist, bigot, hate monger, to "W stands for Wrong," all are resorting to the tacticts of playground bullies. Why should we let infantile adults get to us, control our thoughts, feelings opnions etc. As children they probably where the same people bullying us.
