Right On!

Jan, you hit the nail on the head. And why aren't many more people watching Israel closely enough these days? I am saddened by all the scoffing I hear around me. Our generations have been so misled. God never forsook the land of Israel, His covenant is forever. We as a society are so ethnocentric that we barely desire to keep up with the news locally, let alone the (arguably) most important nation on earth, Israel and what is happening to her. I am encouraged my the many reports I hear both locally and nationally of a return to celebrating the Feast days of the LORD and a return to the Biblical calendar, not the Gregorian, not the Rabbinic, but God's reckoning of time. That truly tells us more about where we are in history, and will become crucial as we race headlong to the end, if we are to know when things will happen. You can obtain one of these Astronomically and Agriculturally Corrected Biblical calendars at www.michaelroodministries.com It is Agriculturally corrected watching for the Barley to be Aviv in Israel to determine when the new year begins. Very helpful if we are to know God's reckoning of time according to the Scriptures. I highly recommend it. Thank you Jan Markell for your wonderful and accurate insights. Jan, you say, "Russia needs natural gas". Russia is the SUPPLIER of natural gas to all of Europe. Russia does NOT need natural gas, for it has a SURPLUS of natural gas. Of course all nations including Russia want even more, for what nation does not want wealth. - You speak of scoffers, of which there are many, and imply that anyone who does not focus on Israel is a scoffer. Here is what the Holy Spirit of the Lord Jesus says about the issue of who Israel is: Eph 3:4 "In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God's holy apostles and prophets. 6This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs TOGETHER with Israel, members together of ONE body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. - The gentiles do not REPLACE Israel but they are Israel TOGETHER and make up ONE body. The gentiles have been grafted into the ONE tree that is for all. - Of course the natural nation that is called Israel is important and we should all pay attention to it. But no one need focus of this nation, but they should focus on The Lord Jesus and Him alone. - Russia may well attack the nation of Israel but no man knows the future. Look how many prophecies there were about Jesus dying on the cross. But name one man who knew this when Jesus was born of a woman. The Scythians spoke an IRANIAN language and Russians speak a Slavic language. The thing that makes me wonder if Russia is Gog-Magog is the fact that so many men have predicted it. Many of these "prophets" have spoken many things that have not come true and they never even repented of their proclamations. Nothing has changed or ever will change, the false prophets always outnumbered the true prophets that God spoke through. There were 200 false prophets in Jerusalem ( The city of The Great King, where the temple was located, now we are the temple) but only Jeremiah spoke what the Holy Spirit told him to speak. - Lou Newton
