MARRIAGE SHOWS HOW JESUS LOVES THE CHURCH
Posted On: 02/13/09 07:10:49 AM Age 65, OH
The Holy Scriptures tell us that the love between a man and a woman shows how Jesus Christ loves the church and how we should love Him. A woman that has children without having a committed relationship with their father is telling her children and the world that Jesus is not necessary, which is the lie of lies. A man that leaves his wife and children is putting forth an example that says Jesus is not faithful, also the lie of lies. This foolish woman in California speaks of God with her lips, but says that God is not necessary with her actions. To have children without a father is an action of hate toward those children. It is telling those children that God is not needed and God is not faithful. When a couple lives together without marriage they are teaching, by their example, that one does not have to give their life to Jesus Christ (the husband) to have life. These two are saying to their children and the world that one can have life without making a commitment to The Husband (Jesus Christ) OR that Jesus does not make a lifetime commitment to us. Our actions speak much louder than our words. We teach by example. Our nation has been teaching their children that Jesus is not needed and Jesus is not faithful for years now, and we are reaping the result in our children. Their is One and Only One Way to Life and that is for one to give their whole life to the Lord Jesus. We should show this truth to the world by our actions. But instead the church is full of divorce and couples living out of wedlock. This will destroy our nation unless we repent. Lou Newton

Marriage IS necessary

The Scriptures, God, intended for children to have both a mother and father, to be raised in the "way in which they should go." Scriptural marriage is between a man and a woman and a covenant with God, not merely contractual by authority of the State only. Perhaps we cannot legislate against the implanting of embryos in single women, but let the violators be warned that such behavior goes against the will of God. God meant for our society to patriarchal, not matriarchal. This is not to say that women are to be the slaves of men. They are not. They stand equal under Christ. It is just that they have been given a different function than men. I suppose I could envision a covenant relationship between a man and women and God who have made a lifetime commitment to stay together in the eyes of God, yet have not made a contractual relationship with the State that they would be "legally" married.
