The problem with marriages is the same problem as with the church, a personal relationship. In marriage, God said they are to be ONE flesh and yet we water it down to a contractual relationship. So why not allow gays to marry? Same with the church, Jesus said we are His body and HE gave us His Spirit to seal the deal. Yet, pastors preach personal relationship. If it is personal and relational and not transformational, then sins are justified and churches can be as liberal as they "feel." John <><

This is a very good article. It is important, however, to mention that the physical relationship is also critical between a husband and wife. 1 Corinthians 7:3-5 discusses it. If the wife does not allow even occasional physical intimacy, it is difficult for the husband to remain pure, focus on other aspects of the marriage, and be a proper spiritual leader in the home.

Such truth in God's Word. How do we get people of all ages, not just the younger generation, to understand that cohabitating is not in God's plan. Many view it as a trial...to see if they are compatible. Even people who profess to be Christians are choosing that lifestyle.
