Geisler speaks truth found in Scripture

Dr. Geisler is not a "dying" dispensationalist as the previous 52 year old commentator has described. He has already passed from death into eternal life in a biblical sense, as have all true Christians (John 5:24). His books are invaluable and his teaching, which I have had the privilege to sit under as a seminary student, is godly, logical, and encouraging. After the Lord takes him from the earth, his books will continue to instruct the next generation of theologically and politically conservative Christians. Dispensational hermeneutic interpretation is biblical (literal, grammatical, historical, literary) and corresponds to the way we are seeing the world events develop---right in line with prophecy. Nevertheless, you should really think long and hard before you insult a man who has served God for over 50 years. I am not a Covenant Theologian, but you will never hear me insult R. C. Sproul.

Norm Geisler isn't trying to speak for you. But most all of what he is attempting to say is of great interest to me. And I agree with him. Satan will hide an ounce of lies in pounds of truth. Just enough to cause people to fall for his lies, and deception. Just enough to cause ignorant, "so called" Christians, who I doubt have even really been born again, to miss the mark set before them in the great race for life in Christ Jesus. Anything else in this world is just sinking sand. Everyone becomes a believer in Christ. Sooner, or later.

Richard Mouw, Os Guiness and David Neff have captured an audience among younger men and women who have no interest in the rough and tumble world of politics, particularly politics that looks and feels conservative. It just isn't fashionable to be willing to take a strong stand on true truth.
Decisions are no longer made exclusively in the realm of truth, but rather on some transcendent body of perceived truth that is more acommodating to differing views, that allows one to look like they have "grown" in their worldview.
It does seem that Mouw and Guiness in particular, who I have enjoyed over the years, have done us a disservice in seeking to find some middle ground only to find themselves on the left. It would have been better to have crafted a document that could have received the endorsement of those to the right of center. I suppose that is just asking too much.
