State Marriage?

The church has given up marriage and the state is trying make sense of our times. It seems to me that Christian marriage cannot come, nor should come from government-this government especially. If homosexuality is legal then why should we care what they call their relationships? Soviet Union learned that you can manipulate marriage/divorce and keep the people beholden and/or terrified of government and dissipated to dissent. We followed exactly the same path.

In the late 1700's, a Hungarian doctor was assigned to a maternity floor of a hospitol at the height of 'birth fever'. 1 in 5 mothers were dying giving birth. Semelweis ordered all his doctors to wash their hands before and after every examination.On his floor the death rate dropped to 1 in50, he had stumbled onto the effects of bacteria. But instead of being recognized as a savior, he was driven from the hospitol, which quickly returned to it's 1-in-5 ratio. Prejudice in the face of reality is all the more hard to explain when the cost is counted not only in the number of lives lost, but also in the quality of life lived. Paul

Homosexuality is Destructive

I fully agree that we should stand in patient but firm opposition to that which is and will continue to adversely affect society, the homosexual lifestyle. Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice. It is not something that is inevitable from birth. It is an acquired, mentally disturbed condition that can be corrected whence its victim can recover to a normal life as so many have done. Homosexuality has only a destructive, never a constructive influence. Until it is acknowledged and treated as a mental condition as it once was by the American Psychiatric Association, homosexuality will continue to be celebrated as normal and having a constructive influence. Witness the governor of California,Schwarzenegger, who once opposed same sex marriage but who now proclaims it as having a beneficial effect for the state's economy after his state supreme court ruled same sex marriage permissible thus overruling the people. That only served to confirm the suspicion of his having a steroid damaged brain.
