Many Americans are ignorant of economic theory

I went to high school in the 60's. We were not even taught how to balance a check book, let alone some basic economic principles. I have a bachelor's degree in business and economics from an accredited college. I left ignorant of how our monetary system creates money: private banks create money by issuing credit and then charge interest on that money, but there is no money created to cover the interest. Supply and demand is something the average high school graduate will not have a very good grasp on, and if so, only because they would have gotten the information from outside the school. Have our government and schools purposely kept many in the dark about economics so they can continue to pursue their criminal ponzi scheme creation of money and to maintain their elite status? Predatory capitalism oppresses and takes advantage of people's ignorance, which makes fertile ground for breeding Marxist socialism. George Cancilla
