Narnia is not really very good for anyone

I agree that your article was well written, but isn't God's bottom line, that we are to have no dealings with sorcery, spells, etc.?
Years ago,I read the Chronicles of Narnia to my daughters, and have always been a huge fan of C S Lewis...Mere Christianity, Problem of Pain, the Great Divorce. These were all very entertaining reads, but they seemed to miss something. It's like C.S. Lewis really never bowed his heart to Christ, or the authority of the Scriptures, but seemed to try to align himself alongside. As I looked into his life, and J R R Tolkiens, as well as the other "Oxford" fellows, I think there is more to this. Narnia just doesn't seem to truly steer anyone toward Christ, but tries to turn the Scriptural truths into a fable.
Again, I sure don't mean to offend, these are just my thoughts as I am beginning to look into this.
As I look into the truth it is very difficult, because it's like finding that an old friend wasn't who you thought all this time, you know?
Thanks so much.

Well written article. However, I start to get uneasy when Pastors start preaching from the "Book of Narnia" instead of the "Word of God". When sermons extend for weeks on end regarding symbolism, allegories and character traits from C.S. Lewis' classic fantasy, I tend to get an upset stomach (Like Edmond when he ate the Turkish Delights!)
The WORD OF GOD STANDS ALONE. There is no comparison. Let's take Narnia for what it was intended... a wonderful fantasy that executed the theme of Good VS Evil.
