That's a sweet sentiment, and preaches so good to pews full of women. But isn't it really the modern gospel of the feminists? Isn't it the gospel of the politically correct? Lift them up in equality so they can be super woman - career, mother, lover, warrior, leader, pastor, Governor, and now even second in line to the Presidency. When Eve took the lead in the garden, she lost that position of equality. "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire [shall be] to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee." Gen. 3:16 In my opinion John McCain made the politically expedient choice, not the best choice. All of those politically correct Christian conservatives, will likely be singing a different tune if something happens to John McCain and Mrs. Palin assumes the Presidency in a time of crisis. Frankly, if women had never been given the right to vote, we wouldn't have slid so far down this slippery slope. Pandering to their vote has had a proven deleterious effect on conservative family values... just ask Ann Coulter.
