Yeah right! LOL

Eckhart Tolle says we must "Evolve or Die" "Heaven isnt a location but refers to the inner realm of consciousness" We are all gods, we create our own salvation.... hmm.... If believing that makes me a "Grown up" Christian..then no thanks, i think ill stay a baby christian! Mixing Tolles word with Gods word and saying that it adds to your Christian faith is a deception, and a doctrine of demons. Question: Did you take captive this thought before you accepted it as true and let it enter into your mind as we are commanded in 2 Corinthians 10:5? Do yourself a favor, just in all sincerity, ask God in prayer if he approves of what you believe about tolle and to open your eyes to anything you may have "missed" before you allowed it to be true in your heart. Christians its time to put down the self-help books and wellness seminars and pick up that little thing we Christians call the Word of God. The Bible. Statements like "Tolle adds to my Christian faith" is obvious to all real "Grown up" Bible believing decerning Christians that you obviously dont read and know your Bible. Take it off your shelf, Dust it off, THEN READ IT! If you still believe that Tolle adds to your Christian faith after studying Gods word about false teachers and doctrines of demons, then guess what? Congrats buddy! You've Evolve! and you've made Tolle and Oprah very proud of you!

I understand and agree with your point in a global manner. However, Einstein did not expound upon Spiritual matters, nor was he known as a Spiritual man. These days Obama is a savior, Gore is an apostle, and Oprah is a priestess. Fact is, they are idiots. I think I'll get my spiritual advise from the source (Scriptures), and the proven authority (Holy Spirit). John

"I read The Power of Now and Silence Speaks just after my triplets died — some women in my fertility support group said Tolle’s writings had been meaningful for them. Tolle helped me think about what was real in my life, and in what sense it was real." He validated the profundity of grief and physical pain, even if at the same time he says those things are illusions we create ourselves. Ultimately, he helped me find acceptance. Life is as it is; pain comes from wishing it were, or believing it is, otherwise." --------------------------------------- Seems there is a biblical answer to each of her issues above. She may not have liked the answers, but they are answers nonetheless. The bible goes through each part of her feelings. So what she is saying is that Tolle has MORE insight into life than the bible has in life? Tolle is more accepting than God? Did Tolle die on the cross for her? Did Tolle accept her into his family? Seems she believes more in Tolle than God. What does that say?

so true...

it is truly sad that so many Christians don't know the Word well enough to weed out total bunk spouted out by these so called Christian groups and stand up for the Truth. Thank you for continuing to shine the light on the Emergent Church's darkness...eventually they will know the Truth, as well - but it may be too late.

I agree with all you are saying on the emergent type of religion. We have to do a lot of prayer for these misguided people.

It's funny that you mention the book "On Death and Dying" by Elizabeth Kubler-Ross. I had to take this course in college.. Bad thing is that; it is a "Christian" college.... How sad. I didn't like the course... Like you said, it did not offer much hope.

Mindfulness

Question. Is Christian content required in the field of personal counseling or psychology? is it acceptable if someone is in a period of grief and seeks assistance from a clinical psychologist who does not include orthodox Christian content in their sessions? A central theme of Mr. Tolle's teachings is the application of "mindfulness" which is also developing into a well researched and effective technique for a addressing a variety of psychological ailments, including positive effects on diminishing cancer cells. I'm a bit confused as to why you would be disturbed by Ms. Williams endorsement of Mr. Tolle's teachings which essentially are an outline of the use of "mindfulness." Regards, Craig

Eckhart Tolle gives good advice

I agree that many of the things Eckhart Tolle says add to my Christian faith. You can be a Christian and still benefit from others- even non Christians. How stupid it would be if we only took advice from Christians. Are you saying that Jews in the world have nothing of value to say? If that was the case, we would never believe E=MC 2. Time for Christians to grow up and accept the fact that maybe some of the things Eckhart Tolle says make a lot of sense. AMEN.
