Iran's success
Posted On: 09/09/08 08:45:24 AM Age 45, ENGLAND
Doesn't Iran dominate the Middle East exactly because America and Britain invaded Iraq? Isn't the rise of the enemies of freedom owing to the botched war? A week after the invasion of Iraq, Syria and Iran were quaking in their boots. The war had been a success - if they didn't shape up, they were next. But then it all went wrong, and now we have made their position so much stronger, against our interests. Iran and Syria are the big winners of the second Gulf War. Surely it is better to have a President Obama who can see this, than a President McCain who repeats the mistakes of President Bush?

Yes it is

American involvment in WW1 brought about the Treaty of Versales which directly lead to WW2. So much for this "War to end all wars" If history teaches us anything, the isolationists were right. In arrogantly going to war, we created more trouble than we solved.

And you think THIS is a sound arguement? John

I think you've shown your true colors, I'll let you hang on it. You called military bases in 130 countries, at their invitation, imperialistic? I call it defense, foriegn aid, and smart. John

If only?

The "If only's" one is talking about here is "If only we had gotten into WW1 sooner" If only we would have gotten into WW2 sooner and forced the Germans to starve to death under the Treatry of Versales." God? What we are taliking about here is bombing the world into submission in the name of God. Yo uare right. God is in contriol and not you neocons with your wonder weapons bough with money we don't have. No matter how you want to spin it, there is no gospel of bombs and bullets. Anyone whgo professes Christ commans us to go to war in his name is a false teacher.

How can we defend "democracy and capitalism" throughout the world, when we can't even keep the Constitutional democratic republic we have in the homeland? This country has hardly practiced capitalism in the manner which was delineated by the Constitution in the sense that the Congress of the U.S. was to be the originators of the money, and not from debt created by private banks. We have military bases in 130 countries. I call that imperialistic. George Cancilla

It's interesting that you KNOW what would have happened "if only". Perhaps you have a crystal ball or magical powers you're not sharing with us? If ONLY they had not shot upon Sumpter, I would be free to have a slave, damn the itchy finger :-) Man, If you were around to tell us to stay out of WWI we could have saved all those lost lives that were waisted...if only we had waited for the inevitable tiring of world views. "IF only" will probably be a popular phrase in hell. Friend, Perhaps your worldview is based upon chance instead of the sovereignty of God...(?) John

George, You said: "Imperialist policies since WWII", where did that come from? I don't see the US of Japan, the US of Germany, the US of Italy, or even the US of Panama at the turn of the century. Have you forgotten the Berlin airlift or the spread of democracy? George, democracy and capitalism IS FREEDOM, not impoverished socialism. We are right to defend democracy and capitalism thruout the world or the world will resort to evil. There is more evil in socialism where we are slaves of the state, than there is in capitalism where we are free to earn our own way. However, our laws no longer serve us but we are now serving the law because we are impoverished of heart. We will return to bondage because our hearts desire it!! It is the default state that refuses to honor God. This is why the poor Americans elect democrats, they desire bondage just like the Jews desired Egypt. John

I would exclude Chuck Baldwin and Ron Paul as being puppets for the elite banking cartel, because they both have indicated a desire to break from the fraudulent fiat money scheme where private banks create money from credit and charge interest for it. Paul and Baldwin have vowed to adhere strictly to the original intent of the Constitution, which means that money would be created by the government interest free. These two guys seek to cut the marionette strings. George Cancilla

There are some serious fallacies in the rhetoric of this article. "If Senator Obama wins the election this Fall, we can only hope that he will be mugged by reality before allowing Iran to dominate the Middle East and seize control of the world's major sources of oil." What gives the U.S. the right to dominate the oil reserves of the Middle East? Our unconstitutional government is more of a threat to U.S. citizens than Iran or Russia will ever hope to be. While our government policies have made a mockery out of capitalism, Marxism has firmly entrenched itself in our midst. The only threats to our national interests are the stupid imperialistic policies we have pursued since the second World War. Greed and arrogance are the worst enemies the U.S. has. George Cancilla

Even Chuck Baldwin and Ron Paul? Are they puppets too?

You are correct

The civlil War: Had the South not opened fire on Fort Sumpter, there would not have been a war. Even so, Lincoln made several peace overatures. By the way "Free the Slaves!" Was not the Battle cry of the Union. WW1: Had America stayed out of that war, those Europeans would have gotten tired of killing each other and an equitable peace would have prevailed. As it was, Americas entry created a lopsided victory which planted the seeds of which today we are still reaping the bitter harvest of. WW2: The arrogance of the Allies brought fourth the Treaty of Versalles which forced Germany into starvation. Europe created Hitler, Europe deserved Hitler. Had America stayed out of WW1, there would have been no WW2 and the Name Adolph Hitler would be beside the liikes of Picasso instead of Stalin. Korea: Had America stayed out of WW2, there would have been no Korea. As it was, Churchill himself decried "We killed the wrong pig!" And repented of having joined Stalin. Arbraham and the Jews: God personally cmmanded Joshua to invade the promised land. He told Abraham tha the land would not be given to his people until the sin of the people who dwelled within iut reached full measure. Even so, Isreal was NEVER commanded to go to war outside the borders of the promised land. War was not to be Gods plan for liberating the world. God even went o far as to forbid David from building the Temple because he was a man of war. (Even one of a God sanctioned war) Solomon, the man of peace was to be Gods way of reaching the world. The Church has no comission to command one government ot go to war against another. If you are going to claim "Thus sayeth the Lord Jesus Christ! Liberate Iraq and install democracy!" Then you can take your place alongside the 300 false teachers who assured King Ahab that God was on his side.

I guess Abraham should have let Lot rot in the desert, I guess the Isrealites should have wandered for eternity. I guess you know without question that our founding fathers were not led by God to found this nation by force. I suppose we shouldn't of had a civil war. I suppose we shouldn't of entered WW1, Korea, or Vietnam because we weren't attacked. I suppose we should have let the Reds build a base in Cuba, like they are trying to do again today. If Barack Hussein Obama is elected, the Reds will build a base there. After all, he is no Kennedy and the Soviets are no threat, right? John

Actually it is sad

There is no Gospel of physical agression. Defense? Yes. Premediatated defense? No. God may allow governments for the purpose of keeping order, but not by terrorizing its citizens or any other countries citizens. (Romans 13:3). The verses from Revelation 19:11-16 that you mention depict the final battle between good and evil in this world. Christ's army are the redeemed saints from heaven. This battle marks the second coming of Christ. Those battles in the Old Testament are foreshadows of the spiritual battles believers in the Church Age are to wage against the powers of darkness. (Ephesians 6:12). George Cancilla

That's funny!

Wow. You said, "Christ does not call for his church to commandgovernments to go to war." Yet scripture clearly says that God established goverments and that those governments do not bear the sword in vain. In other words they have the God-given responsibility to exact justice. Now, I'm sure that has a lot to do with crimes committed and capital punishment for individuals, but why doesn't the same hold true for nations and wars? Secondly, in Revelation we see Jesus depicted as LEADING THE WAR EFFORT with his followers coming with him. And for what purpose? To annihilate these nations of the world that reject him and follow Satan, the anti-Christ and the false prophet. A similar picture is present in the OT when often times, God instructed his people to go to war and wipe out the enemies. Now - I'm not suggesting that everything the government does is just and right. Nor am I suggesting that our presidents hear from God. All I'm saying is that God instituted governments to keep order and that to do so God authorizes the use of force, and that believers ought to support what God institutes.

The neocon position of bombing the world into submission is EVIL. Pure Evil. To accuse any opponent for being soft simply for refusing to embrace your opostate gospel of bombs & bullets is outright false teaching. Christ does not call for his church to command governments ot go to war.

Woodrow Wilson was a pawn puppet of the rich world bankers. He fascilitated passage of the Federal Reserve Act which initiated the rape of our country's wealth and began the subjection of our citizens to slavery. Barrack Obama is a pawn puppet controlled by essentially the same banking cartel. But the other candidates are just as much a part of the marionette show. If you look closely, you can almost see the strings attached to their limbs, mouths, and bodies. From Wilson to George W. the bankers have been about destroying a country founded on liberty, Christian principles of morality, ownership of private property, and freedom of expression. It should be easy enough to understand why they want to do this. These assets get in the way of the Marxist march to world domination. And Islam is also in their way. George Cancilla

An irony

Even Wilson's SecState was astute enough to recognise that the LN would be a dismal failure, so he refused to ratify the US into the LN (ironically created by Wilson).
