Too true

Yep, it's a fairy tale made in real life. Just as the Biblical characters didn't recognize their role in history, we don't recognize ours. History isn't a bad teacher, we are poor students because we think ourselves as unique, loving, and in control. Doesn't that sound like the typical church goer you know? We're setting the stage for the "Dark Knight." John

When Government pushes God away...

Although scripture (God's inerrant Word) tells believers that it is God who creates government and appoints leaders into authority for his purpose, when those same leaders and government become so immoral by law and example in decisions we are NOT to support those leaders. It should be obvious the government of the U.S. has evolved into apostasy and secular humanism over the past 60+ years. Liberals and secularists found a way into the church and began thier socially cancerous agenda to destroy the church from within...just as they have done in government.
We believers who are authentic Christian, must stand firm and be the Christian "warrior" the scriptures set us apart to be from the world. If we do not stand for God then who will stand for us when the govenment destroys our freedom and liberty? Maranatha!

Look at what has happen to the true Christian churches where Socialism has taken over. Obama and Congress will take ws down that road. It is time for true Christians to get on our knees and pray that it don't happen. It is hard to beleive that so many Christian cannot see it.

The wealth of a nation

This is a very informative article. Thank you. The primary responsibility of any nation's government is to protect its citizens. Redistribution of wealth is never one of its responsibilities. Protecting a nation's wealth IS one of its responsibilities, and therefore may give it cause to interact in the nation's economic activities, only to a protective extent however. Although socialists, communitst, or Marxists, would have us believe otherwise, "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch." Nothing of value is free. Someone has to pay for it. If not with money, then with time and work. When people respect the fact that they cannot have more unless they produce more, money stays solid, and society stays healthy. When people stop trying to produce what they need, they start looking for tricks and gimmicks, such as stealing and inflation (printing more money). "For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies." (2 Thessalonians 3:10-11). The Bible provides guidelines elsewhere as to how the Christian should respond to the disabled, retarded, elderly, and the family. None of these guidelines, by the way, indicate that governments should provide for them in the way of social security or welfare. George Cancilla
