Not an Atheist, but Close

I was a Deist who believed God was only the originator of the Universe, not the redeemer or provider. I believed that "God" could be little green men or it could be an omnipotent omniscient being who wanted nothing to do with us. Either way, I appeased my conscience with the knowledge that this god would not judge me.
Then a street preacher preached at me 1 Timothy 3:16 KJV, "Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh." And I realized that not only was the Creator God real, but that he had come to seek and save the lost, and that he is an interactive God who will judge the world in righteousness. The Holy Spirit got ahold of me and despite my greatest effort not to be, I became born-again.

i lovwe the deepness and simplicity of this answer. i have a sister who is a self proclaimed atheist and i m glad to see there is a short to the point yet very loving and biblically informative way to answer.thank god for you brother and i love how god uses you(by the way i read hells best kept secret and its awesome-
