My understanding of the USA is that you currently have NO legislation governing any of this stuff at all? Is that correct?

it is DEVILution, but just another example in the many that have been parading around as explanations for the origins of things...and worse. Did you know, however, that the protein molecule that holds all cells of animal life together actually shows up in medical textbooks in the shape of a cross? Like the signature print in the fabric of your Coast purse...They might mix it up and we might all be a bit deformed or mutated, but WE STILL BELONG TO JESUS! We're still the genuine article.

Lou, 64 OH, touched on what I was driving at. You must understand why the Lord "had to" destroy mankind. You must understand the implications of Matt 24: 36-39. A credible scholar, the late Donald Grey Barnhouse, wrote a book titled "The Invisible War: The Panorama of the Continuing Conflict Between Good and Evil". It's still in print. Man has body, soul, and spirit. God breathed the spirit of life into man but after the fall, man became spiritually dead. However, man does have a god consciousness and reasoning ability that can find god in creation, the cosmos, calamity, and love. The question is; can man find GOD (Jesus), without God moving first thru faith. Animals were created body and soul but on a different consciousness than a man. A man's soul is our hopes, our dreams, our thoughts, our education, our decisions, our reason, our experiences, and our loves. An animal has a god consciousness of sorts, has experiences, learning, and dreams. However, an animal has no hopes, decisions, or quest for knowledge. However, an animal does have a sort of faith, some would wonder if it is a saving faith. The BIG question is: what consciousness would a hybrid have? Perhaps that of a handicapped child or a very smart animal. Regardless of this, God is just and merciful. John

Many Christians do not think that angels can procreate with humans. But let us look at the scriptures and see if we can learn from them. Gen 6:1 When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal ; his days will be a hundred and twenty years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he Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. THIS DEATH WOULD SPREAD LIKE A PLAQUE ACROSS THE EARTH. SO GOD JUST WASHED THE PLAQUE AWAY WITH THE FLOOD. GOD DID NOT DESTROY MAN BUT SATAN DID. GOD DID NOT DESTROY ANY MAN WHO WAS REDEEMABLE BUT ONLY WASHED AWAY THE UNREDEEMABLE ONES SO THERE WOULD BE A REMNANT TO BRING FORTH THE LORD JESUS CHRIST SO MEN COULD BE REDEEMED BY HIS BLOOD. THIS WAS SATAN'S GREAT PLAN TO DESTROY MAN AND HE DESTROYED ALL BUT EIGHT. NOW IN THESE LAST DAYS SATAN IS TRYING ANOTHER PLAN. HYBRID HUMANS, HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE, MARRIAGE BETWEEN ANIMALS AND MEN WILL BE NEXT. IT IS ALL PART OF SATAN'S PLAN TO DESTROY MAN.-- Lou

and it's not just because I'm from TX, too, but if what you say is true, that it can't happen - it will be a great slap in the face to these godless scientists. It may sound vengeful of me to say so, but I hope their haughtiness brings them down to their knees in repentence and forces them to concede. The other option (that it works) is very scary and we could very well live in a dark "science fiction-come-to-life" world. The island of Dr. Moreau isn't far away. We should pray, pray, pray...

Even though this gives rise to the idea that, someday, I really could be a "monkey's uncle," my question is, how does the role of the eternal soul figure into this genetic stew? If the miracle of HUMAN LIFE begins at conception, what type of "lives" would be created? Or, would we simply give way to soul-less creatures with animal instincts? I do not think this could be any form of human being. Any thoughts?

now sheep and goat are already very genetically similar, and whale and dolphin are quite similar too, and some 'hybrids' occur naturally to begin with (like mules, ligers, and zedonks), but there are no animals that are similar to humans. It was once believed that chimps were 98% similar to humans, but with continued mapping of DNA strands, that percentage of similarity is steadily declining. The current estimate is below 94% similar, and still falling as the DNA is further examined. This may be a non-issue to begin with as I belive it just won't be genetically possible to make it happen. I'll be highly supprised if it is. The scientists trying to do this are probably thinking it's possible because they believe in evolution and think humans are related to chimps.
