School debt

I disagree with you on school debt- simply because I don't think you are being realistic about it. It is pretty awful, I agree, however, since our economy no longer has decent job opportunities in manufacturing, etc, a college degree has become the bottom rung to employment. And college costs have risen astronomically- my daughter worked full time, lived in a teeny room, and ate beans and rice for four years, and still ended up borrowing close to $40k. Unless your parents are able to contribute a significant amount to your school costs (I was not able to), loans are the only way to manage.

Debt Free is a requirement

Yahweh made it clear we are never to be in debt.
In this society that can be a very hard place to be in but the Christian must endeavor to be debt free and remain so, always, for the very reason Jim points out. We cannot be servants of two masters.
Well said Jim...

My husband did not believe there was such a thing as life without debt. I brought him with me to a Dave Ramsey seminar and now he is a believer. We are not there yet, but I am so glad we are together in reaching for it!
