Stem Cell for bad knees

I have not done a whole lot of research on it but in Colorodo there is a treatment for those with bad knees who might otherwise be candidates for surgery. But instead, they inject Stem cell from the persons hip into the knee. Over a period of 9 days, they inject the patient with a series of shots with his own stem cells and amazingly the cartilage grows back and the pain goes away. They claim that most positive results are seen anywhere from within the first week to 3 months after the injections. The procedure cost $7000.00. I discovered this on the web.
