The doctrine of hell

The article mentions "A heretic who does not believe in hell".
I don't recall Jesus expounding on the doctrine of hell, but perhaps my memory is faulty...

FYI: the trailer video of 'The Moses Code" is on youtube and you can find the movie being offered (for a fee) all over the net. This I know simply because it is where I found all the information I needed when searching yesterday. So what's up with that ? Fotunately, I was able to find 1 copy of the book. Thank God for it's insights are amazing and just what I needed. Funny isn't it? For when the student is ready...the teacher appears. All of this being said by a self-proclaimed Christian. What baffles me the most about articles like these and the people who write them is that the very thing that they hate is the very things that Christ taught and lived by. Just sad that it has taken me about 20 years of my life to shake off that very mentality that was passed down through my upbring. For the first time in my life starting 2yrs ago I am able to say that my relatonship with God and Christ is better than ever. Then again how could it not be when the Kingdom is within.
Peace, light and lots of love

God is omnipresent

It always puzzles me to hear or read criticism that doesn't support the idea that we are all one... Doesn't the bible state that God created humans at His likeness? Don't we know that God is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent? But how can we say that God is omnipresent and at the same time deny that he's in certain people who don't hold the same beliefs we hold? Why have the idea of an external God? God is not out there, God is everywhere (inside us, around us, in my friend, in my enemy).

Lets Get It Out Of The Schools

First some of us let the secret, which isnt no secret into our homes, it left millions empty, but thinking its some form of motivation it wont hurt, then they come out with the opus, the compass and now the moses code. I was tempted myself thinking ahh its just some positive thinking.. what harm will it cause.. but then they started teaching the secret in the schools to grade school, then it tries to direct them to some universal mind, and finding their inner passion, and they where still empty, now they move into the religous material to try and fill em up yet again.. and this time with blasphemy.. Putting this stuff in a school system, and teaching it too the children is wrong.. This is a straight out cult, they can take our beloved Lord and Saviour out of the school system, but fill their heads up of selfish dreams of getting everything they want, and now saying that God gave them the gift to do it.. We need to do too them what they did too our Lord and cut them out of the schools... See positive thinking isnt bad, but when christians are seen as dwellers of Hell & Sin, thats negative thinking, and in their eyes positive thinking will heal the world and stop all wars, then christians will be shut up.. Is this the beginner of the world religion...?

Fear or Love

It feels like this article was written from a place of fear and judgment rather than Love. I find this true about many Christians. It is one of the things that turned me off to Christianity and The Bible in my younger years and caused me to turn away.
Many of the New Thought ideas make so much sense to me and has brought me back to Jesus and The Bible. God and Jesus are all about love and acceptance, not fear and hate and intolerance and judgment.
First there was the Old Testament. It was the only Bible and people followed that & believed that for thousands of years. And for many years before Jesus (about 400 years, I think) no other writings were added to the Old Testament.
Then Jesus came to give us a new way of thinking and to teaches us who we are and who God is. He gave us a new covenant and released us from many of the old laws.
Many years after His death many different authors wrote about Him and some of these writing became The New Testament. . The teachings of Jesus were spread via word of mouth and letters that some of his followers wrote. Some of these letters were included into the Bible. Which books/writings would make up the official Bible wasn’t determined over night and was a process over many years. It was over 300 years after Jesus died that the complete list was “official.” A group of men decided which of all the writings about Jesus was true. There was much disagreement and many changes occurred before the “final” New Testament was formed. It is said these men were led by God to correctly choose the writings that were Divinely inspired by God. But there was/is disagreement and the Catholic Bible contains some books that Protestant Bible doesn’t. I understand the King James Bible included the Apocrypha until the 1800s. So who’s right and who’s wrong.
The Catholic Church was formed which made Jesus into another religion. Jesus was Jewish and I don’t believe he ever denounced his Jewish faith. He just gave a different interpretation and added onto it. IMHO The Catholic Church put their spin on it and called it Divine. The Catholic Church became all powerful and became the final word in Christianity.
Then Martin Luther came along denouncing many of the Catholic Church’s practices and beliefs and a split from The Church created the Lutheran Church. This occurred about 1,500 years after Jesus died! So for 1,500 years Christian had it all wrong? Apparently so. It seems this reformation was a positive step in the direction of teaching what Christ really taught. Then others split off from the Lutherans and formed other protestant churches such as the Presbyterians. In the 1600s Baptists, Quakers, Mennonites/Amish established their faiths. In the 1700s the Methodists and Episcopalian churches were formed. In the 1800s the Church of Christ, The Church of Nazarene, and Pentecostal Churches were formed. The Christian faith is not static. It is a living thing that has been evolving since the day Jesus died. Who is right? Who is wrong?
Now 500 years after Martin Luther started the Reformation, New Thought and New Age ideas offer a new way of thinking and believing and being closer to God. Is it possible that this metaphysical interpretation of the Bible is another step in getting closer to what Jesus was really trying teach? I think so. There are many ways to interpret the Bible. That is evident by the many versions of the Bible and the many different denominations and sects of Christianity. Which one has all the correct interpretations? Which are beliefs, dogma, rituals, etc. are divinely inspired and which are the creation of mortal human who think they are divinely inspired? Who is right? Who is wrong?

I am with you on your comment, the mysteries are within the Holy Bible but it's takes the Holy Spirit to reveal them to you. I Am a Born Again believer and I have studied all the New Age teaching. What I know to be true is that the God of the Bible is real and he is alive, and the bible is the Word of God and it has transformed my life. This is what I know to be true, the Word is the Book of Life, and if you seek it first you will indeed find what you hav been searching your entire life for.....Transformation, you must read it from the beginning to the end. You wouldnt purchase a book and start in the middle...No start from the beginning and then the Holy Spirit will reveal to you the knowlege of the truth. Jesus is alive and well and his spirit lives within me. Blessed by the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob the only true and living God. That is the God that I serve and no other.

The Fruit of the Tree

I am a Christian but I have also studied some New Age thoughts. I do not beieve everything as they do, but Christians don't have it right either. The label "Christianity" is static, while what it represents is not. Christianity HAS CHANGED as human consciousness has changed. Have we forgotten the Crusades? And how many Christians at one time believed it was Okay to "own slaves"? God gave us the institution of marriage and yet look at the divorce rate. Is God's gift of marriage imperfect? Or is how we currently understand it imperfect? Every time man raises his level of consciousness, the Bible is understood on a deeper level.
At this time, I much prefer spending my time with New Age people. They are more globally aware, more loving and less selfish than their Christian counterparts. Jesus says you can tell a tree by the fruit it bears. When is the last time a call went out to Christians to pray for peace? Too many Christians talk the talk but do not walk the walk and it is this very hypocricy that is turning people to the New Age Movement where they are walking the walk that Christians should be. Some of the beliefs of the New Age movement do not conflict with Christianity at all but instead, offer a deeper understanding of what Christ was saying.

Good article. I highly respect the pros and cons on the subject matter. I'm a strong spiritual believer in the BIBLE and try my best to live it. I come across a lot of NAM's (New Age Movement", NTM's "New Thought Movement" or anything alike. and I'm amazed to see that most of them don't take the time to do their research on the BIBLE and what it says. It's understandable! Religion separates and has corrupted the human mind. So I can relate to them, much love. But GOD in the BIBLE is not a religion. Think about it! The Secret, Moses Code, Laws of attraction,or anything that mentions GOD or JESUS. All this stuff is coming out of the BIBLE. If so much POWER is coming out it's translations, then that only confirms that the BIBLE is REAL. Wouldn't you want to read it and find out for yourself where these Spiritual GURU's are getting their information. The Bible has many more secrets, it takes GOD's spiritual guidance to find them. Jesus had them ALL!!! ask him!!!!

"judge not lest ye be judged"
-Christ.
This New spirituality that is submerging as it seems upon the earth is not necessarily a "bad" thing, good and bad are relitave terms of course and i speak within a specific context here. I mean when you look at the present shape the world at large is in one cant help but think, is there another way? i mean take the starvation, the rape, the murder, the kids fighting in wars most of which are under the age of 18 to be quite specific the youngest ever recorded was 7. And these are just the tip of the ice burg. Is there another way? really? most of the worlds religions or at least the popular ones operate under this theology of philosophy that says's "God is here and we are there" or vis versa. Teachings such as this are the reason for most of the worlds problems, because with the idea that we are seperate from God, the idea is born that we are separate from each other, as these ideas grow and begin to mature we act as though we are separate from each other and ultimately separate from God. For example we "humans as a whole" act very very selfishly, its all about me as some say. Christ said Seek ye first the Kingdom of God (mathew6:33) it must have stunned the people when he turned around and said The Kingdom of God is Within you (Luke17.) The idea that God is one with us, and that we are not separate could actually help us even if only a little, maby we would treat each other with more respect, maby we would stop killing each other in Gods name, maby we would stop acting as though all that mattered was US. We are all One, the theology of separation is what is killing us. Judge not lest ye be judged, rather than judge seek to change that which you do not agree with.

well i must say for what ive been reading, tolerance is definately not one of the strong points in these arguements. i just want to say that eastern meditation practices and yoga have been around much longer than christianity. I am a yoga teacher and ive found the beauty of yoga is that it can work with all faiths, it teaches you to live in the present moment, which can bring you closer to your chosen faith. so maybe instead of bashing these other practices maybe embrace them and just acknowledge them in the world, maybe you too can learn something about treating people equally.

I grew up in a Pentecostal Spirit filled church and in spite of all the sermons, prayer vigils, and the like, God still seemed like a fable and a million miles away from me some 25-years later. It wasn't until I stumbled across the Law of Attraction and other (what some would consider) new age doctrines that God became very real to me. I don't accept anything as "Gospel" but doesn't the Bible say "seek and ye shall find"? I'm pretty positive it doesn't say, "seek within only the Christian Faith and ye shall find". Why do you think that millions of people are flocking to "new age" doctrines? Perhaps it's because the "Church" (on the whole) has done a horrible job of communicating the Love of God and the Humanity of Christ.

as a young spiritual person, NOT religious, it gives me great pride that others stand in the name of G_D no matter what their DENOMINATION is. We are all part of the SAME church, planet, and body of G_D. religion and our PERSONAL beliefs, not G_D's, has killed more people than anything in the world. These teachers from the moses code and other movies alike are not seeking to be blasphemous against G_D but to give glory on all He has to give us and everyone who calls his name. whether it be G_D or Alla or his other Hebrew names.
So Before we pour our blasphemic tendencies on the rest of the world we should ask, What Would Jesus Do? really think about it? Separate yourself from the humanity that binds us all and see that he would offer compassion, love, harmony, acceptance, tolerance and even death for peace & G_d...........so we should ask remind ourselves that their is no right or wrong way to pray, love, praise, & worship the almighty creator. Just remember that we all are human and on the same level from the prophets, the writers of the bible, to even the priests who molest children.....we all come from the same place. Maybe that should help us have compassion and spread peace through the masses.
Sending you love, kindness, gratitude, & love.

Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This must be our prayer without ceasing. 2 things: number 1; here’s the kicker, they don't believe in the bible in entirety and yet they take one maybe two truths out of the word and build a whole doctrine on them while throwing the rest out. This is crazy!! If you want the truth take the whole truth and allow your life to be changed. Number 2; the only way the subverters of the truth can get this far is because we who know the truth have not lived it and spoken it simultaneously-I mean the whole thing. Jesus Christ lived the word and spoke the word. This article points to the deception but does not point to the action (it is the love of God that draws men unto repentance-the woman at the well). Change the world through living his word (and I don’t mean piety-often used to make people feel badly about themselves) and not just talking about how someone else is not living his word (they are in darkness and don’t know how) we are supposed to show them. We tend to criticize our neighbor instead of loving him (we love through caring for them-not judging them). All that being said, I am truly thankful for your sobering viewpoint. A customer of mine mentioned the Moses code to me this weekend and I told her I would look do some research regarding it. She is not a Christian and is frequently coming up a new way to follow the same old deception (you can become as gods) spoken to the first man and woman. Thanks again. Let us pray; Thy kingdom come thy will be done!!

You can call God anything you want, but there is still only one God (Creator) and He is invisible...an unseen force until He is manifested through something or someone we can see.
We (all humans born on earth)can not have come from anyone but God so we are His offspring. Like our Daddy, we do create... with words, thoughts, actions...sometimes good, sometimes bad. He trains or punishes in order to bring about good behavior as any good parent does.
I don't know of any human father that we would not punish or annihilate who tortured or killed most of his children and kept birthing them knowing he would have to torture the majority because they refused to go by His rules.
Our heavenly Father loves unconditinally and He has a means of bringing all His children into obedient loyalty in one age or another of eternity.
Of course God is in us..Jesus prayed this in John 17. If we allow God to manifest through us, as us, He will create good things because God is good.

Any spirutality or religion that is based on truth has nothing to fear as it will be revealed. It always amazes me how much fear comes out of change, change is a natural part of life! As I read about "The Moses Code" it reminded me of how Jesus (a new age person at the time) was punished for supporting the truth and giving the people an opportunity to change. Is attaining harmony and peace on our planet such a bad thing and doesn't that bring us even closer to GOD. As it says "THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE" and God bless all of us who are ready for a change through the grace of God!
