Emergent, Emerging, Emerged, Will Emerge: A Response

Sir,
Your lack of being able to provide evidence of "emerging types" being like Newkirk and equating chickens and humans shows that you are full of opinion but lack any eidence or truth that could come from facts. Since you are unable to make any rational, truthful or intellectually honest response to a pretty easy question shows that you are operating from a false, limited and ignorant (uninformed) position about the subject matter. The fact that you couldn't stay on message is a sad commentary on what people who claim to follow Christ too often show to the world.
I will pray to our Triune God to convict you of your sin in this matter of falsely speaking of others, including myself.
Grace and Peace,
Jim

Emergent, Emerging, Emerged, Will Emerge

There are no fixed definitions for who is emergent, emerging, the emerged, those who will emerge. That's the whole point, isn't it? No fixed definitions for anything, God, hell, the Gospel, the atonement. You're postmodern now, so definitions don't apply. That was modernity. You can't claim that your emerging, not emergent because those you are affiliating with don't like definitions of any kind. They're all saying the same types of things---vote liberal, save the environment, salvation isn't an event, it's a process, homosexuality is not a sin, the cross and hell are false advertising for God, everything must change, we need a revolution, everything you've heard is wrong. They are all radicals who are enemies of the cross. Those who are wise will run from anything with the word emerge in it.

I want to point out a phrase from the review: "...the movement was actually spawned by big corporate dollars, and it is very likely that these youth pastors' discontent for traditional Christianity is more the fault of the seminaries they attended rather than their upbringing." Big corpo has a vested interest in shutting down fundamental Christianity where individualism takes precedence over collectivism, and where God calls the shots. George Cancilla

Exactly to the point! Who are the real hypocrites, the one's exposing the false docrine of emergent theosophism or the one's who've been consistently preaching the same gospel all these years! In a time of great deception, telling the truth is a revolutionary act! (I think Churchill said this)

Please Provide Evidence and Not Just Your Opinion

Can you please quote a majority of these "emerging types" (since your statement insinuates that the majority are like Jones and MaClaren and are pro-chicken and anti-child)who insinuate that babies and chickens are morally equivalent?
Since Jones, MaClaren, Pagitt and many others are Emergent (an official and identifying group of mainly heretics or biblically ignorant people) and not emerging ([of which I am one] a group of sorts that is notanywhere near the same as Emergent US or UK)maybe you might want to hit the target and not hit those in your party (Christians) ala' Dick Cheney.

No False Dichotemy, It's False Moral Equivalence

It isn't that God doesn't care about animals, it's that these emerging types are insinuating that there is moral equivalence between caring for chickens and caring about the slaughter of babies. The church of Jesus Christ has made peace with the murder of 50 million human children whose blood soaks our nation's soil. To insinuate that we should be out crusading on behalf of chickens when we have failed to stop the butchery of humans is outrageous and deserves nothing but scorn. When the human blood stops flowing, then we'll have time to worry about chickens, not before.

Is it possible that Jesus cared (and still cares) about more than just two things? Babies lives, and saving souls could be 2 things on a much longer list of "what Jesus cares about" I think I smell a false dichotomy...
