COMPROMISE as you will...
Posted On: 02/19/08 01:53:38 PM Age 64, OR
Indeed any self-proclaiming Christian who votes for John McCain is self-delusional and a Republican ideologue...not to mention they will compromise their spiritual beliefs by supporting a secularist womanizer, foul-mouth, globalist. But if that's where you are, then answer to God for your personal apostasy because the Word tells true believers to "come out from amongst them". We can certainly do all we can as spiritual influencers but we should not be compelled to vote for their evils ways.

reply to "an ugly American"

As one who knows Tom Tancredo personally and who supported his efforts see my web site; (www.wakeupandsmellthetruth.com) picture of Tancredo and me. I would have loved to see him as President. I understand your position and I respect it. I am hanging on to the Republican party by a thread my friend. I feel the same way as you. I will most likely vote for McCain since there is no viable third party. However, I will most certainly leave the Republican party if there is not a drastic change in the direction. Again, I hear you and agree with you and yet I feel we must stop Hillary and Obama from capturing the White house. Good conservatives can disagree on some things. Some are saying now is the time to leave the Republican party, and some are saying to hang in there a bit longer. I am the latter but very close to leaving it. -Dr. David M. Berman

In need of a disaster
Posted On: 02/16/08 04:15:21 PM Age 61, MO
God has given America several wake up disaster calls, most recent of which might be the World Trade Center disaster. Apparently these wake up calls haven't had much affect, probably because those calls haven't affected all of us. However, there is a wake up call on the way in the form of a major economic collapse. Maybe that will wake us up. George Cancilla

The Ugly American...
Posted On: 02/16/08 01:52:16 PM Age 64, OR
You have touched on the reason other nations have refered to American diplomats as "ugly Americans". After WW2 American diplomats and big business evangelists went throughout the world "selling" American so-called democracy as the way the world should/must follow. Obviously this has returned to haunt our nation because now the world hates us and our greed. The so-called democracy in American politics has now drifted to the left and global socialism in both primary political parties. It is self-destructive. America is NOT a democracy either as it was founded as The United States of America Republic. It is only when real conservatives and real Christians "exodus" from the Democrat and Republican parties to form "a more better way" that this nation will turn around. Re need a National Reformation in our politics. We must eradicate our Nation's capital of self-serving politicians and create a way to remove them from office by having them sign a contract that they will NOT be persuaded by special interest groups (SIGs), pork barrel politics, entitlements, bridges to nowhere, outlaw lobbyists, et al; and when they fail then they are immediately pulled from office and replaced. We need another check and balance in the form of addtional bona fide parties in the U.S. House and Senate to override political insanity. It is time those in church leadership realize this and stop encouraging their "flock" to support apostate and evil politicians in the GOP as McCain (a womanizing, foul mouth, non-hero, self-serving weasel), Mike Huckabee (apostate to Biblical Christianity socialist), and Mitt Romney (Biblically apostate cultist, and elitist). It is time Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo join together as an independent President/VP team to speak for real conservatives who love our once-great nation. What say you?

McCain is worse than Obama-Clinton
Posted On: 02/15/08 11:14:48 PM Age 26, NE
McCain is the worse on economics, foreign policy, and conservative ideals. I will not vote for Obama, Clinton, Huckabee and McCain in the General election. Ron Paul all the way.

...and McCain=Neocon Fascist Tyranny
Posted On: 02/15/08 09:57:50 PM Age 44, IN
This country can't afford Clinton, Obama, or McCain to be elected. Christians and Conservatives need to get behind a candidate who stands for Christian and conservative principles. That candidate is Congressman Ron Paul. I believe that Christians and Conservatives need to ask Dr. Paul to run as a 3rd party candidate, whether that be Libertarian, or Constitution Party. If he does decide to not run as a 3rd party candidate, then I believe we need to get behind the Constitution Party candidate. Possible candidates are former Alabama Justice Roy Moore, Chuck Baldwin (a Pastor and contributing columnist for Christian Worldview Network), Alan Keyes, former Senator Bob Smith, and Dr. Jerome Corsi, just to name a few. Come on Christians and Conservatives, please wake up, and vote for a true conservative candidate and not fall to the lie that we need to vote for the lesser of two evils. In God We Trust, not in the GOP we trust.

Socialism has crept into the Republican Party too!
Posted On: 02/15/08 07:18:13 PM Age 64, OR
Looking at your list of socialist ideals are easily applied also to John McCain and Mike Huckabee. To not understand this one must be a party idealogue or in self-denial.

Keep it coming!

Dr. Berman, People either hate ya, or they love ya. There is no in-between. I love ya...keep it coming!

Our help is in the Name of The Lord

I agree with the words about those who have called themselves conservatives and have behaved in some ways worse than the left has. I have made my position on this known many times. We are in a very bad situation as a nation. Perhaps it will take a total disaster to finally turn us back to our founding principles. Perhaps we will never turn back as a nation. Either way our help as Christians is in the Name of the Lord. -Dr. David M. Berman

Wonderful Theology

What a sad state of affairs for Western Christianity when we get bile like this from our 'religeous leaders'. It is time for a new reformation and people like this will be left behind just like the bloated apostate catholic church of the 1500's, wanting to maintain the status quo and calling Martin Luther dangerous and heretical.

You know, you are right
Posted On: 02/15/08 11:05:16 AM Age 26, MN
...in a sense. The moment we put this much importance on simply marking a box as to who we want for President is the moment we have lost perspective as to what it means to be a Christian. If you think it is possible to kill someone simply by voting than we are ALL guilty. I hope and pray that when I get to heaven God does not judge me on my voting record but instead on whether or not I sided with the least of these.

In addition to your anger at the left.....
Posted On: 02/15/08 09:07:28 AM Age 48, CA
I am also angry with the right. In spite of the lip service, this current administration has continued the economic treason of its predecessor. While paying lip service to morality, the right is turning out to be the same divorcing, adultering, homosexual, baby aborting imoral people thier counterparts on the left are. Add to all of this is a war to "Liberate" the world into our permissive ways and impose this slouch towards Gomorra upon the Islamic world. And all of this without a plan to pay for it! No, I wouldn't vote for either democrat but niether can I support the GOP. My vote will be to write in "None of the above". If we end up with an American Jezabel in the White House, it is because the right is just as wrong.

What flavor of tyrrany do we prefer?
Posted On: 02/15/08 07:46:30 AM Age 61, MO
If we prop up John McCain as an American hero because of his veteran status, then we deserve an Obama or a Clinton. Most of us Vietnam veterans realized that we were not fighting for freedom, but were merely placating the desires of an arrogant American imperialistic greed. It was the corporate and government establishment, with the help of a biased mainstream media, that perpetrated the lie that our freedoms were at stake from communist aggression. The Cold War was an establishment lie to perpetuate the war mongering military industrial economy. Is that the Christian way to have prosperity? And the current War on Terror is a continuation of the same lie. Socialist tyranny comes out of a revulsion for the tyranny of monopoly capitalism. Christians should stop relying on leaders to fight what needs to be each individual's battle against spiritual darkness. George Cancilla
