She way out of line. I will never watch her show again or read any of her books.
She is a fine example of someone completly sold on herself and thinks she is a messiah

Secular reasoning is ...

Your secular reasoning is but folly unto God. Obviously you are not a believer of God's truth and even likely must believe you evolved from a tadpole.
God's Word, the Holy Scriptures (Bible as many refer to it), is not one book but a compilation of 66 books, letters, poems and songs God-breathed into over 40 authors over a perios of 4,000 years. Nothing within the authorized Bible version can be factualy disputed (at least honestly) and all the prophesies have either come true and realized or a few remaining to be fulfilled when Jesus returns to set up the Kingdom of God on Earth for a 1,000 years.
That said, your right of freedom to choose to believe what you may is also given to you by God.

It Is Not A Matter of Tolerance

Many argue today that embryos should be used for stem cell research. They do not want the embryos of monkeys or apes - only those of humans to be used. It is not possible any longer to say that embryos are not human, so let us be honest: abortion ends the life of one class of humans. Of course Christians should be concerned about the lives of humans after they are born, but a Christian's first stand must be to defend the rights of a human being to live!
Secondly, it is not hateful to point out error to anyone who questions the truth of scripture, Before saying "your interpretation" we should examine just the words of Jesus alone. From those words which are as plain as they are stated, we can see what we are as humans, where we are, and where we are going unless we repent and trust in Christ alone. It is not hateful to warn others "emergent" or not when they questions these absolute truths.
Finally, as the recent film "Amazing Grace" demonstrated, there was a time in relatively recent history when a fundamentalist Christian fought for years in the political realm to end a great evil. Can anyone say that Wilberforce should have been silent and let the evil of slavery continue for many years??

Syllogism 101

Logic comes of God.
The Bible is illogical,i.e., is replete with contradictory statements.
Ergo, the Bible is not of God.

Church leaders have become "wimps" by NOT taking risks at losing their tax exempt status bullied by the secular government and its taxing agence, the IRS. What's more important to Christians...tax exempt status given by a secularist government or BEING a Christian? Carefully read Ezra 7:10. We are "to be" what God's Word tells us. Yes, pointing a finger, even fault-finding of church leadership is appropriate when that same leadership DISQUALIFIES themselves (Biblically speaking) and those leaders must be removed and replace by those who have more reverential fear of God than man. For, "if God is with us, who can stand against us."

Amen, Brother/Sister. You are absolutely correct. Much of the Church in this country is truly lost, serving false teachers and prophets as foretold in Revelations. Not sure if the end is near or not, but we should always be prepared just the same.

Back to "Normal"?
| Posted On: 02/18/08 09:08:06 AM |

"Outcast" is supposed to be the normal status of a believer. Does not the term "Holy" mean to be set apart? Different?
The idea that an entire nation can be holy and thus, special is unBiblical. The Gospel is to individuals, not governments. In theory, if enough people with a nation are saved, you could have a "Nation of Christians" And thus, the conduct of the society should reflect that. "Christian nation" denotes something from the top down. Lets take abortion. In your "Christian nation", Abortion clinics are closed at the hands of SWAT Teams with crosses on their kevlar. In a "Nation of Christians" Abortion clinics close due to lack of demand for their services.

Threat vs. Personal Sovereignty

The "threat" we present is challenging their wrong ideas. They know they have no defense except to accuse or abuse. They accuse us of challenging their personal sovereignty, which is not the case, and so tyrannically call for loss of our freedoms to force us into their way of thought. First they try to marginalize us, then jail us, then kill us.

MLK AND OPHRA HAVE BEEN A CURSE TO THE BLACK RACE
| Posted On: 02/17/08 12:31:25 AM |
Age 64, OH |
Jesus says to judge by the fruit. What is the fruit of the civil rights movement. The black race in this nation were oppressed by men but now they seem oppressed by drugs, crime, murder, disease and the Devil himself. Even the black churches seem to be demanding their rights from God. I have heard people get up and claim a Rolls Royce from God by so called prayer when they could not even afford the gas for such a car. The black race used to be oppressed but they were humble and seemed like true Christians to me back when i was just a kid. I look back on many black people who seem like heroes to me now. But now I do not like most all of black culture. It is loud, arrogant, and anti-Christ. Not many seem to be encouraging people to be around. I think that MLK would have made a far better example to appeal to the Lord Jesus rather than government for justice. I really have a hard time seeing that MLK did anything good for anyone. The black race seems to be far worse off now then they were before MLK. Yes they have more equality and more rich blacks now but they seem much further from the Lord Jesus then they were then. It seems to me the whole nation is worse off now then it was then. The whole nation back then would have thrown Ophra Winfrey out of instead of making her a hero. Lou

WE FIND JESUS BY HIS MERCY AND GRACE
| Posted On: 02/17/08 12:11:07 AM |
Age 64, OH |
I am told by so called intelligent thinkers that I have an IQ in the upper 1% but that did not help me to find the Lord Jesus. I tried to search out the truth but had to admit it was far beyond me. When I admitted this and threw myself on the mercy of my Creator; He in His mercy revealed himself to me. I have also seen retarded people who knew the Lord Jesus and some found Him much easier than I did. So Christians are no more intelligent than atheists; it is just that we have asked for the mercy of God and by His grace and our good fortune he is a God of mercy.

JESUS SAYS - FOLLOW ME
| Posted On: 02/17/08 12:03:06 AM |
Age 64, OH |
Dear friend, you say, "that is my right to do so". In your zeal didn't you misspeak. Have not we given up all of our rights to the Lord Jesus and are we not His slaves or bond servants. I have no right or do not want to vote my opinion in this election but only want to search and find out what i can about all who are running. Then I want to seek His face and vote the way He leads me to vote. Is it not better to be lead by the Author of the Book rather than the Book. I read the Book looking for my Lord than I walk with, talk with, and follow Him who shed His blood for me. Lou

Standing for Christ?

Could someone please explain to me what is "Christian" about taking an oath to defend something, only to break it promptly? Could someone please explain what is "Christian" about taking campaign contributions and spending them on one's wife? Could someone please explain what is "Christian" about signing on with Rick Warren's globalist plan to "fix" the world's problems? You see, the last two Mr. Huckabee has already done--and the first would happen right after he took the presidential oath. Justify those if you can.--Mrs. Pilgrim

All the translations of The Book that I have say Only Jesus is The Judge. It also says ALL CREATION moans for the sons of God to be revealed. So how can any of us no if Huck is like David or Daniel. Is there any difference judging someone is going to hell than judging someone is a saint. The Catholics think they can determine this and they are wrong. It is a dangerous thing to say that we can do the job of The Lord Jesus Christ. Don't you agree dear friend. Lou

Israel Happened !

We have to understand that we are on Israel's timetable now. The church age is coming to an end. God is separating the wheat from the shaft. This is the falling away that Saint Paul the Apostle spoke of in his second epistle to the Thessalonians. We need to be hard at work bringing in the harvest. Pray the LORD will send in more workers to the fields for harvesting. The wedding supper of the LAMB OF GOD is near and our LORD JESUS CHRIST will come to rule and reign with his Saints. Be ready!!!!

Paul wrote to Timothy that there will come
a time that they ( christians ) will not endure sound doctrines.
We are living in that time.
Very very few christians read or study bible
including preachers, teachers and pastors.
That is the sign of the time.
