Fair Enough

So, how does he plan on ending abortion? Like "pro-life" Bush? I think his basic philosophy of government is flawed and he won't do anything of substance to end it if elected. Does he support the Sanctity of Life Act? If so, why doesn't he come out and say so? Does he have a plan? You are right, he has had some limited success. I would like him to clearly articulate what he has in mind if elected, not just the fact that he is pro-life. We've heard that refrain before and the evangelical world has fallen for it. For me, he has a real credibility problem.

What Huckabee did

He first got into politics working on the Human Life Amendment. As governor, he got the state's ban on partial-birth abortion passed, as well as parental notification and informed consent. This required that mothers be informed of the fact that a baby would feel pain during an abortion. He made it possible for hospitals to take babies if mothers wanted to hand them up for adoption, and helped pass legislation making it a crime to hurt or kill a child during an attack on the mother. Given the constraints of Roe v. Wade, that's a pretty good list of successes.

What did Huckabee do?

What exactly did Huckabee do while governor of Arkansas that has so many people convinced he'll do any more than "pro-life" Bush has done?

Not really ...

Mike Huckabee, who helped pass the Right to Life Amendment in Arkansas, has also committed to doing the same for the United States. Ron Paul simply wants to return the decision to the states -- so that a life will have different value in North Carolina than New York. I would argue that Ron Paul is trying something worthwhile, but it is more a commitment to Federalism than to life. In your analogy, Ron Paul would be the one who makes sure the raft is untied so that someone could save the boys ... Mike Huckabee would be the one who rallies the others to join him in actually making the rescue.

A Challenge

I would challenge someone to show me that Ron Paul is not a anti-Israel, pro Islamic supporter. He has made comments that President Bush caused 9/11---just what the Islamic terrorists hope we believe. True Christians should support Israel because they are God's chosen people.

Abortion is first degree murder. It is pre meditated with malice aforethought. It usually takes place by conspiracy--at least the pregnant woman and a doctor. Every state in the union has laws prohibitting murder. Each of these states need to enforce those laws. These laws cannot be re written by the courts, and the supreme court especially has no right to overturn these laws. State governments should not be intimidated by the Federal government in this matter. The reason nothing has been done about this disregard of murder, is simply because no one who has been given the authority to do something about, wants to change the situation. It is in the best interests of the governing elite that the population of the world be reduced as much as possible. What really shines out as hypocricy, is when the anti abortion evangelicals stand in support of a government that wages pre emptive war, essentially committing acts of murder. My advice to these evangelical Christians is to come out the Babylonian system. "Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues." (Revelation 18:4). George Cancilla

Chuck your right on...I gave Huckabee a chance but when he was asked if Mormon Romney would go to heaven he was a clear as mud and gave a typical Joel Olsteen response. Also I loved his playing 80s rock with his band at the republican convention Cmon he is using the whole faith thing to attract the evangelicals. He is a big government big tax guy. No one else cares that our money is becoming worthless and our country is becoming a police state except Dr. Paul. I like Ron Paul for his integrity and his ability to see through the media propaganda. And his strong stance on defending the constitution. He is a vote for freedom...
