Yes! Good article. Humans have been given unsurpassed worth by God, and the Fall has not changed our worth, only our relationship with God. Humans have dignity in this God-ascribed worth, but depravity in the Fall of Adam. Acknowledging this unchangeable worth while noting our need to be Regenerated before God is what leads to salvation that is neither prideful nor pessimistic. -Dan Smith

We can still have dignity in our depravity. As a matter of fact, we can have dignity in our Christ esteem, that we will not be able to have with self esteem. Self esteem will result in not fully surrendering to Christ. George Cancilla

You have defined the problem with great accuracy. But you have not clearly defined the answer. The sons of God are those who walk in the Spirit as Paul says. The letter of the law brings death but the Spirit of the law brings life. The Bible is the best Book ever written but it can deliver no one. It is the Author of the Book that has the power to deliver us. The pharisees followed the Book and were destroyed. Jesus told them that the Book pointed to Him. We should read the Book to see Jesus Christ but then follow His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will always agree with what he has written in the Book. Lou
