For those of you who, I am sure, are about to start in with your protests of "Oh, but Jesus said we must help the poor", may I ask you whether you believe He meant "And thou shalt take away the property of the merchant and the carpenter by the sword to do it"? Frankly, that is what is meant; you and I, who are middle-class (neither rich nor poor, but we work for what we have), have the firstfruits of our labor taken by threat of incarceration and seizure of ALL of our assets. Why is it that a government WE vote for has the power to take a tithe (or more), and why is it they may do so by armed robbery or extortion? I agree that we must help those who are helpless. However, I do NOT concur that we must FORCE people to help us, or that those we help should be chosen FOR us.--Mrs. Pilgrim

As a long time member of the Republican Party I can tell you that we by enlarge have not become socialist nor have we departed from our traditional ways. Unfortunately the party is not being represented by the idiots in Washington, including our President who has apparently gone over to the other side. I am certain that none of the main stream Republicans, certainly not me or those I associate with, have ever endorsed the UN charged Rock Star in anything that he has done or proposed. Unfortunately we as a party, and as a nation, have a multitude of issues we are now fighting every day in an attempt to preserve our national sovereignty and our over all way of life which includes family values, ethical practices in government and businesses, and a myriad of internal social issues here at home, therefore this half-baked feed the pour con from the UN is only one of many money grabbing shames they continually propose to milk us dry and doesn't even come close to being a front burner issue at this time. This is especially true since the United States rarely, if ever follows the UN Lead unless there is a Left Wing Wacko in the White House, so see me next year on this issue. The Bottom line is that many of us in the GOP are still out there killing dragons but there so many of them to kill that we have to attack the most invasively dangerous first and take the rest on as they present an imminent danger to our nation. By the way feel free to jump in anytime, we can always use another sword.

Whatever happened to independent thinking? I bet that there are quite a few who read this who have heard at least once their lifetime: "You can't fight city hall!" It shouldn't have to be a fight. The U.S. Constitution has put in place the mechanism to have honest representation if the citizens so choose to participate. Nowhere in that Constitution does it imply that there will be only two major parties from which to choose representatives. It is beyond me why so many citizens have hugged either the GOP or the Democrats for so many years, when candidates from both of these two parties have shown themselves to be self serving bureacrats who support large corporate and banking interests who have money. Independent candidates and parties offer alternatives, and deserve our scrutiny. The Constitution Party is just one such alternative. I know the arguments: "If I vote for the independent, then the other major party candidate will win." So what. If either of the two major party candidates win, we still are apt to lose. So why not take a chance on freedom and vote for the individual that promises the most freedom--the one that truly promises to abide by the Consitution. In any event, the United States direly needs to disentangle itself from the United Nations, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund. George Cancilla

Wow, the whole Christian community needs to hear the information presented here. For a while now my husband has been telling me that Christians think that 'Republican=Christian' and I have to say that he is probably right! We need to start evaluating not a party, but the people who we elect to that party. Not only by their words, but by their actions!
