I hear and take to heart your questions that border on being sarcastic. The "American Dream" has been perverted over the centuries. Many have demanded that they be able to have things they have not earned, and have been placated by large lending institutions who have created a phenomenal credit card debt that has caused a chain reaction leading to economic demise. We cannot continue to create money without a legitimate production backing it. Playing games with deficit spending only causes the bankers to get rich, and causes the middle class to dissolve into poverty. This is definitely not what the "American Dream" was supposed to be about. This is not the Horatio Alger story. The BATF, the ALCU, and the NEA are so far from Biblical truth, that it is pitiful that they reflect any sentiments of the citizens of the USA. Strong state governments would be highly preferable to a federal government. If a system of checks and balances cannot be made to work at the federal level, perhaps it should be dismantled. Most federal agencies could be more efficiently operated and funded at the state level; and any agencies necessary for the national defense or to fascilitate commerce could be controlled by certain individuals from state legislatures from every state in the union.
