There are times that I wonder whether conservative Christianity, in their zeal to have the 10 commandments posted aren't breaking one of them... the one about not creating graven images. It seems to me that some of the people fighting for them are putting and worshiping the word of God rather then God.

Mr. McDowell, thank you for your article. I agree with you whole-heartedly. I was educated in the government school system and I have had to re-educate myself since I became a Christian. Before I saw Christians as puritanical and narrow-minded. I have seen where many of the beliefs I held were from the humanistic worldview. I believed in macro-evolution and the history textbooks I read were written from a humanistic, generally anti-American and anti-Christian point of view. Thanks to all of you at the Worldview Network for helping in my re-education.
