IS LESS INTELLIGENCE INFERIOR

Steve I think your article was great. It is a needed subject and brought out many insightful thoughts and quotes. But I would like to call your attention to something that you said that I don't think even you really agree with. "Polite and well-informed folks just don’t say those things---in fact, polite and well-informed folks don’t even think them.” You are talking about intelligence and you imply that to say someone is less intelligent by genetics is wrong. I think it is wrong to judge one race is superior to another. And I think that intelligence is an attribute of God so it is good to be blessed with intelligence. But if someone is more intelligent does that mean that they are superior. Is a more intelligent Christian a better Christian. I have found that most Christians seem to think that intelligence is a curse. I think both positions are wrong. How can intelligence be a curse when God is the most intelligent being in the universe. But intelligence alone does not make a good Christian. For to have a close walk with God requires humility. God is very intelligent but also very humble. God is very powerful but also very meek. Is a really powerful person a superior person. Of course not but a powerful person is tempted to be arrogant and not humble and meek. But if a physically or rich and powerful person turns to God, God can make them meek and humble. The Lord Jesus is not made arrogant by His intelligence or power. But man has a tendency to be made arrogant by these things. So calling a race less intelligent is not always a bad thing for being intelligent is just like the color of our skin or hair. Some are born more intelligent than others. But some men are born more humble than others. Neither is bad to possess like any gift from God. But not having as much of one gift does not make one inferior either. I happen to be born with a high IQ but sometimes struggled with arrogance because of it. I was a Chaplin at a rescue mission and met this man, Mike, who everyone seemed to look upon as the least of men, for he was not very smart. He had many problems and I tried to help him. One day I was talking to Mike and the Holy Spirit spoke to me very plainly. He said I did not send Mike here to learn from you, but I sent Mike here for you to learn from him. I did not even have to ask what it was that God wanted me to learn from Mike. Mike was maybe the most humble man I have ever met. I often remember Mike and try to learn from his humility by trying to be like the example he set. By the way I am well aware that there are very intelligent black Americans.
